Uhh, you got a 404 error for a video card?

Good luck playing games with that.

Perhaps just tell us what it is?

nVidia - Coolbits
ATi - ATi Tray Tools

I would help, but a few things are in the way:

1. The link is broken.

2. A 2-second google search on OCing Gfx cards would do the job

3. Can you tell us what the card brand/make is?

How to install it?

Well, is it inserted firmly into a PCI slot on the motherboard?

Did you install the drivers from a CD that came with it?

A good OC'ing program for nVidia video cards is CoolBits or Rivatuner, be warned that Overclocking a low-end card like that won't give you a large performance increase and could/will damage your card.

And considering how hot most FX cards run at stock - don't expect much of an overclock without getting a lot of artifacts.

Just put the card in the slot and put the cd in the tray...

Installing is piss easy...

Open the case.. plug it in.. go to BIOS and disable on board graphics.. put in cd.. install.. done

Overclocking, I wouldn't bother with it.

1. It's an FX (hot)
2. It's PCI
3. That Dell is kinda crap anyway
4. You'll get like 4-5 extra frames at most

pkay guys, i have finally made my decision. i am going to finish messing with this comp.( i am putting on a new case and some new programs) and then i am looking at buying a nice $700 eMachines. my friend has it and it can run half-life 2 VERY MINIMAL lag on its integrated graphix. any specific eMachines/other-gaming-computer-that-is-between-$600&$800 ? what would u suggest? maybe a good package deal?

I wouldn't buy an e-machines computer, they suck. Instead, just build your own computer, it's easy and you get to choose what you want, not the company.

Build that pc and it will be infinitely better than an eMachines with -blam!- integrated graphics. Never go for integrated - they're guaranteed to blow. Honestly, your friend can play Half Life 2, a game that isn't as demanding as many on the video card, at low settings at a low framerate. Okay, great, it's 2 years old. Will you want to play games newer than HL2? I'm sure you will...
