I'll be playing Reach, pretty boring. Friend and I decide to play ODST. We start up Tayari Plaza, we get to the enemies, and I said: "Wow, this looks much nicer than Reach". Graphics on consoles don't mean much. ODST and Reach have both maxed out the graphics. So has Mirror's Edge. I just think ODST looks a lot more cleaner, and the lighting is amazing.
Then you're talking about art direction, not graphics.
And I hate this "One campaign is better than the other" crap. I honestly think ODST had solid but repetitive gameplay (except for like Uplift Reserve and NMPD HQ) but amazing art direction/atmosphere. That's why I play it; wandering the streets is a hell of a thing. I play Reach more for, well, a "campaign." I really want to finish the story each time I play, and each encounter is interesting.
Yes, I am talking about art direction. I clearly stated that ODST and Reach have both maxed out the graphics on the XBOX, as many other games have. Want to know why they look different? Art style. There really is no point in talking about graphics, unless we are on a computer.
