Yes finally i got a vid card. Problem is thats it is a nvda mx440 64mb. But beliave me it is twice as good as the intel intergarted is. i do run the game on 640x480 well, but the only problem is particles. When they are off the game runs so smoothly. But even if i put it on low when i shoot and stuff i get like a 12fps(sometimes more) decrease with every shot. I wanted to know if there was and thing i could do. And could someone tell me if the new nivda drivers are the best out there or if there are older ones that work better on halo. i am willing to overclock it but wondering if someone could give me some tips on it. Thx for anyhelp.

(Dont worry intel intergrated people i will still have ther drivers in my sig)

Try checking the nvidia website and check for the latest drivers(if they still have the ones for your card). The only thing I can think of is trying to upgrade to a 128MB videocard.

LOL! It took him a year to "upgrade" to 64MB. It'll be another year before a gets a 128MB card.

I had an MX440 a while ago - like 5 years ago! I upgraded to a 9600XT back then.

The MX series was pretty poor for performance. I mean, if it's better, I guess you can't complain, but still, you aren't going to play any games from the past year or so on it. Say goodbye to any hope of BF2, FEAR, any of those...

Those games don't just need a fast memory speed; they also NEED atleast 128mb of frame buffer.

Tips... all basic stuff really...

put all graphics settings on minimal

no vsync for sure

disable FSAA and AS in your driver settings (it will probably be turned off but just check to be sure)

set the slider on maximum performance in your driver settings

put your color settings on 16 bit (although i'm not sure if that has any effect on the game)...

Sexy legs i envy your specs, but do you have a dual core processor (AMD Athlon) that each core runs at 2.2 Ghz each totalling up to 4.4 ghz? :P

the processor speeds do not total. it is like having two highways. the speed limit on both is 50 mph. when you have both of them the speed limit does not become 100 mph, it just simply avoids traffic jams.

thats what dual processors does, it allows the computer to run two simultaneous threads, and therefore it can perform better. the clock speed is not increased.
