I have been wondering. Why now, when bungie is more advanced than it even has, should they end the great franchise of halo that they gave life to. They left us hanging at the end of halo 3 with master chief drifting off towards another planet. O what if Bungie uses its new tools to remake our favorites, like halo CE and halo 2. With super advances graphics and game play, with a more updated and extended plot line. Moving on to other games is a great idea and could only mean the best, but new halo games would add to that even further.

Vengeance only leads to an ongoing cycle of hatred.

Don't worry, 343i is taking over and making Halo 4. If you care about the Halo lore, then this is a good thing for people like you and I because 343i seems to care much, much more about the story then Bungie from the looks of things.

Bungie was tired of doing Halo and wanted to make something new. They signed up with a different publisher so they legally can't make another Halo.

Mictosoft and 343i will keep the franchise going.

Bungie left because they wanted to be an independent company and they couldn't take Halo with them. Also they wanted to stretch their wings, so to speak, and work on some story other than Halo.

343Industries are an incompany group that Microsoft created to oversee everything Halo, and they have quite a few former Bungie employees (among them Frank O'Connor as the head of the studio) in top positions.
