As a Halo fan please don't make a movie. Leave it as games and books. In my mind Halo Legends doesnt exist.

theres a low budget movie being made that looks pretty good but i will never consider a movie a cannon story or accurate.

I'm not attempting to make the makers of project chasity sound bad but their warthog looks like a volkswagon beetle

The gamertag linked to this account is an old one. My new one is James Voe Guy.

I beleive that they just finnished filming the Halo:Faith project. I'm not sure if it's supposed to be an entire movie, or if it's for the 10th aniversary of Halo.

Halo Faith looks stupid. Operation Chastity is where it's at. Halo Faith is all green screen and 300-esque. But Operation Chastity built their own warthog, and it's all filmed on location with the RED camera.

OT: anything less than 100 million isn't gonna cut it. lol.

I'm the same, The best they could do is to make, live actions with ODST's, like the one they released for halo ODST, WE ARE ODST, If there's a Spartan in it or anything like that, it won't work and will probably be painful to watch

Is it gonna have to be bought to watch it?

i would actually like to see a halo movie come out. but i would want it to be well made and not just thrown together. something like the movie avatar or lord of the rings or the matrix or something. i would expect them to spend a TON of money on it and take years to make it what it deserves to be.

I agree, WTF Bungie & MS?

In 10 years with all the success and cash Halo/merchandising has garnered how has a quality movie not been released?

Bungie or Ms alone could easily front the cash and get this done with complete control and no monkey(s) on their production back.

Take the starry night or live action stuff and expand with a decent script. There is a quality movie I'd watch, far better than Final Fantasy.

Film 2 or 3 together just like Lord of the Rings and viola you have a film franchise to go with the game.

Now just put Frankie/343 in charge of this and the job will finish itself.

Why they don't just create digital assets at full movie quality and then taper everything down for game engines over the years is beyond me.

They keep building assets over an over for the various resolutions, why not build the uber-versions and simply iterate them out? Seems like double, triple, quad...the work load.

A movie with a dumb story and stupid message?

So true, I laughed when I read this. I had really hoped the bonus scenes on the Avatar DVD had been at the ending, when the humans came back and bombed the little blue people into dust from orbit.

Its out of Bungie's... area? Anyway, yeah, Bungie isn't really in charge of that but hopefully whoever is in charge is moving forward on production.

Easier said than done.

I don't think a Halo movie would work out. It'd end up like any other videogame movie.

I disagree.

Look at the quality of live action shorts and the cutscenes from Halo Wars.

Are you telling me that a live action movie of that quality ramped up with larger budget, script and production values etc isn't an A grade movie for Halo fans.

Above is one option basically ready to go. However, personally I'd prefer to see something all CGI like Starry Night or Halo Wars cutscenes.

So many more possibilities...which would lend itself to the Halo sci-fi better.

I would like to see a movie and apparently it's in production set to release late 2012 according to imdb.
