It is more fact than opinion that a single jedi or sith can beat Halo universe alone.

Jedi or sith, who has drank from Font of power and is within Pool of knowledge, has knowledge about everything of past and future, and has infinite force powers. This means that he can be completely invicible to any weaponry that halo has to offer, and is able to basicly one shot anything he/she wishes, since he/she has limitless power.

Only Precursors could survive from this, if they cant be harmed by force powers. If it is so, then SW vs Halo would propably end in tie.

But I highly doubt that they could survive from what SW has to offer.

*wankwankwankwank*
That is all.

Forerunners take this.

Once again, this is turning into a mindless back and forth fest. Just like the last... what is it? Two? three? topics.

I've got a bad feeling about this...

Fantastic quote :)
Star Wars wins hands down. Jedi and Sith own everyone down with the Force, clones are better than marines, battle droids can be manufactured and weapons are better in general.

And the Death Star can destroy planets, in one shot...

Assuming the Force works in the Halo Universe, for all we are concerned, people from the Halo Universe are like the Yuuzhan Vong, aka, immune to Force powers. The troopers would laugh their ass off at the sight of a guy trying to choke them with a non-existent(to them) thing.

Sentinels in shield worlds are made every 6 seconds, they can also fuse into bigger constructs with even more firepower than they already have.

I also would take a SRS99 Rifle before picking any Clone sniper rifle, same goes for any other weapon in their universe, mainly because their weapons have a knack for failing to hit targets, mostly because they fire from the hip, but yeah...

But the jedi could still hurl really big rocks at your face, and in a situation where the precursors run rampant, theres always Ewoks. (:

  • 05.04.2011 1:29 PM PDT

Lol, I was actually think of that earlier.

"Man, people seem to think you can be immune to anything a jedi does if you are 'blank' to the force. I'd like to see them be immune to something being chucked at their face!"

Problem. Covenant Supercarrier dwarfs the Executor. Which is then dwarfed by the ZPM hive ship~32 km long.

Now, onto the topic at hand, the UNSC would fall, the Covenant would put up a fight, the Flood would... I dunno...

The Forerunners would destroy Star Wars. Forerunners are on the level of the Culture now. YEAH.

Course, if we bring in powers like that, it'll just end up like the last ones. "Precursors are untouchable!" "Bull-blam!-!" back and forth.

Course, we don't know how many supercarriers the Covenant even has.

While Supercarriers are likely rare, Assault Carriers seem to be more numerous. We know their weaponry is at about 202.1 gigatons per shot, per cannon.

That's more then the SW EU's rating for Star Destroyers; about 4 times more (as in, what the wookieepedia says when not taking the movie's superior canon into account).

And some Force powers would work on Halo. Lightning for example. Any unshielded character would still fry if they got hit with it. Drain on the other hand might not work (since Drain sucks out the Force in you, which is a death sentence for Star Wars characters)

You've asked this on a forum full of Halo fanboys, who do you think they're going to vote for?

  • 05.04.2011 1:57 PM PDT

Meh... that's also what killed the thing in the other topics. Started arguing about "How canon affects it."

Overall, I don't see this going anywhere without some type of bias involved.

Covenant supercruiser would do the same to the Star Wars ships as they did to UNSC Trafalgar and the SMAC's, but even quicker since Star Wars ships (capital ships not fighters) are SUPER slow when in regular space.

Um... Not really.

They are fast, however the star destroyers and larger ships aren't as maneuverable. Since the movies focus on the fighter-craft during combat that's all you really see(The slow lumbering.)

This topic has been done to death before.

But I'm sure most people in this forum are willing to go over it again...

Over the weekend or whenever it was I had the time, I actually compiled a list of reasons why the movies contradict the "established" canon. This was mostly to reassure myself that the EU was indeed a bunch of BS and I could hopefully go back to enjoying the movies without going "wut" every time a shot was fired in them.

So should the need arise (and when I have the time; I have to go at 5:00) I can use this list. Starting from Ep 1 all the way to Ep 6.

Lol, this reminds me of this time I heard a Grunt in Halo 2 scream ''PROTECT THE NIPPLE!''

I lol'd so hard that I dropped the controller and got killed by the Grunt that had screamed.

Well, besides that the ship-to-ship weapons were being used on fellow warships, not your random unarmored freighter.

The problem more rose from "Halo gets EU, Star Wars doesn't."

Even using hard canon SW has far more information out, stardestroyer.net using some calculations from movies as well as the rest.

Different views I guess, I certainly don't cry out at the tiny details. Overall, due to this being the bungie universe forum, I'm expecting heavy bias from the general public... I mean, we've had several star wars vs halo themed topics before and they all had the same problems.

Star Wars for sure.

I'm a big Halo Fan but just even look at the scale of Darth Vaders Executer Star Destroyer compared to other ships... that thing would pack a punch.

A better question might be who would win between Chief and a Jedi/Sith.....

1. I agree with the Star Wars

2. If you've payed attention in Ep. VI, you'd notice that the Executer got destroyed when an A-wing got shot off course and crashed into the bridge. Funny how it was the Empire's fault for it being blown up. Think about it!

3. An even better question might be, which is better, a lightsaber or an energy sword?

And that was only because the entire rebel fleet was focusing fire on the Executer and knocked it's shields down, at least around the bridge. Have to give the.. first officer I think? credit though. He successfully dived into the pit on the bridge and dodged the A-wing :D.

I'd haveta say the lightsaber. probably easier to use/more variety in combat forms and styles of the hilt.

Now to say that Wars doesn't get the EU is also a bunch of BS. the movies are only superior to contradictions. The movies never say that the suncrusher didn't exist or couldn't exist.

But the movies do have a -blam!- storm to say on Wars' conventional weaponry.

While no specifics on weapon power is ever shown, if you look at details given in the movies, its overwhelmingly obvious the EU numbers for Wars weapons are bull.

  • 05.04.2011 7:58 PM PDT

Have you even ever READ stardestroyer.net?

The guy has some calculations of the weapon power based from scenes of the movie.

You also are basically saying the tech manuals released for the movies are bull-blam!-.

What I basically mean is "Oh, the EU description of a turbolaser is bull."

"However, we can use the EU descriptions of various weapons."

If you want to limit what is used, both sides must get the same treatment. Since the games are hard canon, then that means plasma weapons are rather weak.

In the end, we'll be again, going round and round flinging stuff at each other and getting nothing constructive done. That's why the last 2 o 3 topics about this subject have failed.

Star Wars weaponry fires light speed projectiles that quite commonly gut large ships.

On the ground, they'd have a numerical advantage, as Droids, Clones, and Stormtroopers are all expendable and manufacturable.

Even with SPARTANs, and skill levels on the side of the Covenant and UNSC, the Star Wars guys are just superior.

Flood's and Universe's Warhammer 40k fanatic and the one who knows much about it.

I also like House Stark and winter, hurr.

Im still waiting the reply, that would tell how Haloverse would survive from single jedi with infinite force powers and limitless knowledge.
