If a shield absorbed the energy of a nuke, it would melt the ship inside it. That is conservation of energy. That energy must go somewhere, it cant just disappear.
The Covenant shields have had shields that absorbed a nuke plenty of times, it didn't melt the ship now did it? Exact same thing would happen with the Empire.

Yep, and unlike Covenant shields, Star Wars ships don't have to drop their shields to fire their weapons.

My plan: On Tatooine, launch an attack on the populated area and get data. Then, overturn the populated area and replace it with forerunner sand. Add a baffler over it. Attract the empire's attention and with the baffler, cut off the troops landing from the ISD. Make the sand consume them and then, extract their brain paterns and memories. Get any codes necessary and board back the shuttle and high jack it. Take all the information needed from the dead and the machines. Then mine tatooine out after dragging imperials into the death trap. Make sentinels, ships and everything else. Assemble a quick fleet from Tatooine. Then, use the coordinates to Coruscant and prepare for the invasion. Have the ISD(s) go ahead first and get all the clearence needed then attack and drag the attention needed. After that, slipspace in the forerunner fleet in atmosphere and invade the rest of the planet. Cut the planet into pieces and turn it upside down or use the city-killing sentinels or any other sentinels. Make sure the emperor dies. The galaxy will be unprepared and there will be many disputes therefor shattering the empire and making it much more easier and requiring less time to take it apart. Have guardian sentinels ram into any ship if neccessary. [They're 4km tall].
How does this sound?

I already won.

Star Wars, only because of the Force.

This sounds like a whole lot of bull-blam!-.

What is forerunner sand? Bafflers?

Tatooine has very little information or ANY infrastructure... Nor would the imperials give a -blam!- about it.

If it had mineral wealth, the hutt's wouldn't control it. (aka, the planet has nothing worth mining for)

You cut off ground forces from ISD, ISD calls for help and/or simply bombards the area. Good luck trying to dock a shuttle with no lifesigns with the ship though.

How would they get memories/brain patterns from the stormtroopers that were CONSUMED. Aka, gone or destroyed. Also, good luck getting high end passwords from stormtroopers.

Um, a lone ISD would not be much of a distraction for a defensive fleet over the capital. It'd be destroyed damn quick.

Also, linebreaks would make it easier to read.

Sorry for no <br />. The forerunners had this special kind of sand that couldn't really be disturbed by stepping on it or a passing ship. It can move and make forms. So just use that to drag imperials down the ground or make them go in an imperial and get in their lungs then crawl back out. Use those to trap the imperials.

Bafflers are a type of forerunner camouflage.
A baffler was a Forerunner-designed camouflage technique employing geometric distortions. In approximately 100,000 BCE, a baffler was used to hide the center of Djamonkin Crater. espite being considered outdated at the time, the device was demonstrated to be effective enough to hide the area from a Miner ship and an entire Forerunner fleet.
Once they drop into the mist, they could be hidden from the imperial star destroyer.

There are imperial troops on the planet and an imperial garnison as well as other ships docked in there and there is a space station orbiting it. Get information from them and destroy them. Actually sometimes, there is a larger imperial force on the planet.

Deep under the planet... Strip mine it.

The imperials would most likely send a shuttle with troops to investigate. Then, as it drops into the mist, high-jack it and take their memories. The pilot and all of that too. So return to the ISD after a bit and use their voice to get back to the ISD. Then kill them and take their memories and such then get the information on the ISD. By consumed, I mean dragged down into the sand.

Sevral medium sized sentinels dragging out imperial forces to distract the imperials for a bit. How long would you say it would stand?

The thing is, confuse the enemy, strike fast and wreck havoc upon their culture and such.

Well, against UNSC/Covenant- Star Wars wins with overwhelming firepower, numbers, etc.

However... Star Wars vs Forerunners, then Star Wars loses badly due to once again sheer firepower, numbers, tech, etc by Forerunners.

Oh how I love slaughtering and causing massacre the star wars universe! It's just so fun!

I voted, "Don't Know."

Not because I don't know, because I personally prefer the Star Wars Universe to the Halo setting (although Halo makes for better games, whereas Star Wars is purely for movie/book-centric entertainment for me), but because I just loved that this was an option.

  • 09.08.2011 7:11 AM PDT

Chuck Norris......Is awesome...

Covenant and UNSC vs Star wars if they can both beat the flood they can beat anything on star wars not to mention the flood would be on the halo side

  • 09.08.2011 7:21 AM PDT

For me it is easy! Halo.
I've never been into Star Wars.

I drew a fortress-class taking on two executors, some imperial star destroyers and a death star. It blocks the death star shot using a slipspace portal and unleashes a cloud of fighters.

There are 6 Halos remaining and only 1 fully operational Death Star...do the math genius.

The Cleansing beam to Corosant to take out the whole galactic senate...eliminating the jedi & people paying for the clones to be made.

Spartans & ODST's vs Clones...or even Elite Zealots & Brute Chieftains vs Clones, obvious victory.

Sentinals vs Droid Army...Star Wars Wins.
Flood vs Clone Army...Halo Wins.

Master Chief survived 2 Halo Rings, the Covenant holy city, falling down to Earth from orbit, The Ark, The Gravemind...Twice, A Glasing Beam, & is the last known Spartan still alive because he's so awsome.
Beat that Darth Vader & Darth Sidious

Halo Kills Star Wars...Mainly from a one man Army...Suck it Star Wars fans

IMO, Starwars. Why? Mnggal-Mnggal, The Force and Advanced
Tech. Hell Let's throw in Celestials, Infiniate Empire, BlackWing Virus or "The Sickness." Let's not forget the crazy
amount of SuperWeapons such as the Death Star or the Super Factory the Star Forge. It's just my opinion, don't go spreading it around or nothin'. :P *SPARTAN III'S! WEWT!* XD

As long as SW forces steer clear of Onyx they will be fine.

  • 10.09.2011 9:38 PM PDT

Lets just make it simple.

Empire > Covenant/UNSC

Empire < Forerunner

Empire > Flood

Flood > Forerunner

Precursor > ALL

Empire > Covenant/UNSC

Empire < Forerunner

Empire > Flood

Flood > Forerunner

Precursor > ALL

So why is it always the Empire? It seems like this isn't SW Vs Halo it's Galactic Empire *GCW Era* Vs All of Halo.

Spartan-I's, were just test dummies.
Spartan-II's, were the real effing deal.
Spartan-III's, near-suicidal black ops soldiers...Jun-266 is like the last Spartan-III in the galaxy.

Plus whether or not the Spartans trapped in Onyx can be counted or not, they are almost entirely Spartan-II's (Including Fred & Kelly from Halo Legends).

The UNSC has Destroyers about the same size as a Star Destroyer, plus a couple of hundred other ships to back their Destroyers up.
The Covenant has a city-sized capital ship gaurded by several hundred ships 10x the size of the Star Destroyers, with hundreds more gaurding them.

Doesn't matter how many clones, droids, bounty hunters, jedi, or sith Star Wars sends...in the end they are hugely overpowered by Halo's armies.

And I'm not even bringing in the Flood...Good luck topping Halo with these 2 factors.
