And as said about halo firing, if we go with the common sense theory, Halo's would do jack -blam!- against Star Wars.
(Oh, and they mention indexing all life, so nobody try pulling the "Index is never said to be a record of sentient life!")
As I said on the previous page:
That's a very big jump to a conclusion there mate, especially when Halo is stated to kill "All Sentient life" explicitly.
It would seem more likely that the index is either a failsafe (ie: you must insert it to prove all these species have been safely indexed for reseeding), an encrypted key-code, or if it is a target list that it is plausibly an index of all known neurological structures and approximate structures. (ie a "destroy any matter in this pattern/configuration) This last option would give a reason why Halo could affect Precursor structures built on "neural physics" -if it's a pattern-inhibitor or similar theoretical weapon then it could disrupt anything with the appropriate configuration.
It also explains why it would destroy the higher (thinking) forms of Flood.
There are at least three equally plausible explainations for it being called an index, so I don't think you can base your entire argument around your speculation on this point.
Edit: what I mean is, I don't think the capabilities of any Forerunner ship have been fully explained beyond vague statements. So there's nothing to base on it "being able to redirect the death star blast." and one-hit killing super star destroyers.
There is very little we can say about them, true, but their bigger vessels/fleets can nova *normal* stars, which is a pretty impressive capability. The description of them carving up a Halo also implies high firepower, but it would be impossible to get an accurate calc. You could try a few estimates I guess.
