you know what -blam!-, if you think bungie only has one good game, why the hell are you on there website? What mystical power draws you here if you feel the need to criticize hard work and labour if your just some guy exploiting it. If you spend $20 on a game that you are already biast against, of course you will think its crap, because you are so determined it should be. So thus I give you the finger and say you are an -blam!-!

::feeds trolls::

I never played Myth, so I won't say anything about that. I downloaded Marathon; it was ok, but not enough to hold my attention. Oni, I thought, was garbage. Those are the only other Bungie games I've played besides Halo, so I can say that out of all the Bungie games I HAVE PLAYED, Halo is the only good one.

ya i agree, how long did it take you to come to this conclusion? Are you aware what kind of crap was out at that time, i mean, this game was the top of its game, probably in 10 years we will think Halo is still good, but you, single minded fool, will think it is suddenly crap!

Ghost - you can download marathon 1 here:
http://www.bungie.net/Forums/posts.aspx?postID=261195

You can download marathon 2 here:
http://www.bungie.net/Forums/posts.aspx?postID=268547

In both cases, you will get the most out of it by using aleph ones (the opensource marathon engine). It will make sure that you have winXP compatability. you can download aleph one here:
http://source.bungie.org

Marathon infinity is not yet available for download, though I have hopes that someday it will.

for marathon 1 (otherwise known as m1a1), you just download the zip file, and uncompress it to a directory on your hard drive eg c:/games/marathon1

uncompress the alephone zip file into the same directory, then double click on the alephone.exe in that directory.

I'm not sure what the marathon 2 download is like, but if you uncompress the alephone zip file into it's install directory then double click on the new alephone.exe there, you should be right.

Have the people that support Halo ever played the other games?

You should see both sides of somthing if you want to argue about it. Then again people who like Halo and those who like Marathon will seperate, its unavoidable. Cause different people will have different opinions.

Its like saying Mario is the best game nintendo has made. There are plenty of other good games, its just the person saying that hasnt played them all.

Anyway..... the thread has been introduced as a "popular thread" *rolls eyes* on the main page. So prepare for the flood of spammers to arrive....

Marathon and Halo lovers aren't seperating... but if people make silly claims about Halo being the best thign in the world they will get shut down. I have a tendency to take the opposite side to people saying this, deliberately pointing out every flaw I can find. I still like every Bungie game I have played, I just prefer Marathon... and I hate it when people just play ignorant and don't even try out new thigns.

Bungie's amazing whether or not this man truly believes his original post. Odds are he's a lonely ass bastard who has nothing better to do than stir up controversy on Bungie.net forums.

Interesting... but let me use a few refuting counterpoints

Point 1. Minotuar
Point 2. Pathways into darkness
Point 3. Marathon
point 4. Abuse
Point 5. M2 Durandal
Point 6. M3 Infinity
Point 7. Myth
Point 8. Myth II
Point 9. Oni
