One thing is if I'm going to type something really short, like "lol" or something really tiny like that, I jump while I'm running, hit T or Y or whatever, type the message and then hit enter before I hit the ground. That way I never stop moving completely.
Of course, just like in H2, there's the hot spots you need to watch. Blood Gulch is insanely popular on HaloPC. In sniper matches, don't hang out on the roof of your base. Watch the hill waaaaaaay across the map and on your right, if facing out of your base. Campers sit there with just their heads visible, pop up, shoot, and then duck back down again. You can almost always find somebody over there. Also, the area around the corner to the left of your base can very easily get infested with opponents, and it gets reeeeaaally irritating. Ususally you need several people to help you clear it out and keep it that way.
Oh well, I'm just enjoying sounding like I know what I'm talking about. lol. Have fun dude, HaloPC rocks.
Oh, and by the way, some clans use something called Teamspeak. I'm not familliar with it, but it's basically voice chat for the PC.
*Edit* Also, the hog controlls a lot looser than in 2. It's like the Slide is on all the time, and it slips farther when you do a dougnut.
You can drive the Hog all the way into Blood Gulch bases. It's cheap, but you can use it to block your own doors, lol.
You can also crouch under a ghost if someone tries to splatter you with it. And someone correct me if I'm wrong (if anyone cares, lol), but I don't believe the ghost has the nose tilt in number 1. And one last thing--the tank has a cage instead of a hatch, so you can snipe through it. (Killing a tank driver with a Magnum rocks. lol)
