By the power of truth, I, while living, have conquered the universe.

Yes because it's not possible.

Spartans are specifically chosen at a young age from a certain kind of gene pool, they are put through a torturous training process and indoctrination before undergoing biological augmentation. These augmentations are only applicable to prepubescent, not adults.

Probably not but it would be boring. The point of telling an ODST story is to show the war from the perspective of regular humans and to take a break from the spartans for once.

I guess I hadn't really thought about that much. But it's worth noting that the ODSTs are like the best non-Spartans in the UNSC, so it's not like they have it all tough like those other poor soldiers.

Vengeance only leads to an ongoing cycle of hatred.

ODST's can't be Spartans. I doubt they'd want to be, anyway. Many ODST's are jealous of the Spartans.

THAT'S IMPOSSIBLE!

You'd think eventually They would combine the two into one super elite unit.

What do you mean by turning them into Spartans?

  • 05.10.2011 5:54 PM PDT

I think he means giving the ODST the same enhancements that the SPARTANS have. Since they shoulda worked all the bugs out by now right?

Well then wouldn't they just be Spartans. I'm not to versed on Halo lore, but I always figured Spartans were basically genetically altered ODSTs and more highly trained.

Basically ODSTs were the next best thing, but the guys not quite qualified to be Spartans.

You might as well just make the story about spartans then. Theres really no point in turning odsts into spartans since they'll just be spartans anyway.

But if you insist on the ODST thing, make them an elite group of ODST's with a modified Mjolner thats safe for normal people to wear.

I encourage fair gameplay, but I warn you, if you are facing me, watch your six.

How could you be a Spartan and an ODST? If you had read the books, you would have learned that ODST's have an extreme dislike for the Spartans due to the fact that the Spartans rival the ODST's as special forces.

The augmentations only work properly on children, even then it can still cripple/kill them.
