I live in this country.

I don't know of any book store that sells the book for more than 25 dollars.

Borren's Syndrome, if I remember correctly, did not entirely explain the immunity to infection. I believe that was an ONI cover-up because of Johnson's ever so slight 'augmentations' (they were given a few treatments). I could be wrong on this, but I feel like that's what I read.

That said, no that wasn't the cure. They mentioned somewhere in Cryptum (I've only read it through once and that was weeks ago, so I could be wrong here too) that they had to send human martyrs that had a certain condition.. which most certainly wouldn't be Borren's Syndrome, given how one obtains the Syndrome. It was probably something created by humanity that countered the neuropathical attacks of the Flood.

I admit that is confusing but as far as i know borens syndrome does exist but johnson didn't happen. so theoretically we already know of a cure for the flood.

And the humans did find a legitimate cure for the flood and volunteers injected themselves with it and were put on flood planets to kill them.

Yes, I realize they found a cure. I probably just worded that awkwardly.

That said, whatever I recall reading that disproved Johnson's Boren's Syndrome causing his immunity stated his Spartan-I augmentations did and it was an ONI cover-up. Yes, Boren's Syndrome existed, but I think it mentioned that the Syndrome didn't quite protect from Flood infection.

That is the confusing part for me. I thought bungie just changed the idea because they didn't want a cure to be known so early.

I started up the heated debate on whether the SPARTAN-II in the cryo tube near the end of Reach is really Linda.
I created the Moa XING avatar pic.
Also I earned the All Star nameplate with this submission to Week 14 All Stars http://www.bungie.net/images/News/Inline11/bwu_0415/art/likea boss.jpg

Well I'm sorry if people like posting the opposite of what happened in other threads just to be an a-hole.

You are sorry and i am going to start reporting you for it.

What are going to report? You can't stop me from posting back. This is an open forum and I'm not breaking rules.

your pretty much trolling by going around posting false info with the intention of doing so, thus your breaking the rules

Honestly I'd provide you with my source material if I remembered what exactly it was. I just recall reading it and assuming that Halsey/Cortana/Whoever it was that claimed it was Boren's may have been wrong or that they were just theorizing that Boren's was the answer because it had changed his DNA.

He didn't really do anything. The choice of a poster to get involved in a thread and proliferate false or misguided information when they know they haven't read the source that's being cited opens up that poster to critique and judgement- also it does you none-to-good when the disgruntled poster retaliates in a hostile manner, whether intended or not.

Maybe humans need to activate the right genees and they are anti-flood? Maybe the precursors made the humans as the anti-flood.

Meaning that they created the Flood. I'm not sure if that's confirmed.

It's been hinted that the flood is a Bioweapon; one that take Tzeentch like foresight to use mind you, especially considering how the inital deployment works.

Also considering that the prisioner was the sole surviving precursor(or a Biological construct designed to command the flood and anihalate the forerunner, take your pick) that flat out said the Forerunner killed them, it's a good bet that it's a Precursor weapon that's been hanging out beyond he galactict edge.
