We are all going to get banned aren't we?

because things have a tendency to be their opposites

Organics want to become cybernetic. Humans turning into robots

Cybernetics wanting to become organic. Geth wanting to be organic

It takes a real man to back down from a fight, but it takes a spartan to finish it!

Lol I remeber on Harvest when I was blasting some covies and I looked over and saw Serena on that holo pad. Sadly to say, I lost an arm that day.

Answer: Because at first, people didn't trust them that much. Having a body helps the humans trust them more. It scares people less than just disembodied souls.

I don't remember where I read that.

Based off a human brain, A.I. usually take a humanoid form. The face usually resembles the hosts.

To make the people they interact with more comfortable around them and probably some desire to become human themselves.

Sounds like something I read in Contact Harvest... but yeah, you're right.

Edit: They are based off of a human brain yes, but that still isn't a good enough reason to project themselves into a human form. The logical way of running things would be to save their energy for their jobs/processes, but they have to build trust with their human counterparts. It's about trust.

Also, Contact Harvest is set before Fall of Reach AND follows an AI named Sif, you actually learn ALOT about AIs and other technologies in CH.

Don't forget Mack and Loki! All three of them help us understand these AIs and there is also a "dumb" AI in the beginning which didn't know it was getting attacked until it was boarded that was on the cargo ship that fell out of slip space early due to complications or something.

Appearing human is the most common appearance type, they don't all look human. Take Ackerson's AI Araquiel for instance, he resembled some sort demonic looking skull as his avatar.
