The Spirit lands to drop off troops after ground forces call for reinforcement. The bay doors open and the craft is attacked by flood. The pilot freaks out loses control of the spirit and crashes.

yes, but how did he manage to vertically flip the entire thing upside down? it doesn't look like the kind of ship that rolls around very good. and the back of it was stuck in the tree, so he either figured out how to do a huge front flip in the middle of a heavily forested swamp, or he was droving backwards (which is very unlikely) and did a barrel roll

I didn't think it was upside down. I thought it was just nose-first. Dammit, now you got me questioning everything.

By the power of truth, I, while living, have conquered the universe.

The twin troop bays are the bow of the craft, the cockpit with the turret is the stern.

Spirits can be agile I guess. That dropship later flew away to infect another ship [:)].

This man, this man right here put it so eloquently that I actually cancelled my own 2000+ word long post.
/slow clap for respect

The person who said participating is important, not winning, obviously never won anything.

It actually isnt that hard. It is extremely difficult to manuver in a swamp that dense.
