Subject: Covenant artificial intelligence.

Does it exist because the complication of slip space jumps makes it seem as if it was needed and since the only book I have read so far is Contact Harvest (because I plan to go in order by time in the Haloverse) but nothing was mentioned about Covenant AI like there was about human and forerunner. And if it exist why don't we hear more about them?

OT: I plan to get another book since I finished CH and was wondering which one I should get next with the exception of Cryptum which I plan to save for last. I was trying to find another thread because someone always posts these threads but I figured there were too many already, someone needs to sticky a list of order to read them by release date and by date in the Haloverse to end them...

They had AI, primitive in standard to Humanity's AI. They were used for plotting slipspace jumps, seeing as no one in the Covenant seems capable of doing things for themselves. The Covenant however, for some reason, distrusted artificial intelligences and viewed them as abominations, thus they crippled their thinking abilities and essentially made them slaves with no chance for higher thinking.

I thought the Covenant AI on the ship Master Chief stole was basically formed from UNSC AI remnants.

My Grandfather was a Desert Ranger, my Father was a Veteran Ranger in the NCR. My father was killed by Caesar's Legion and they took my Brother. It's now my responsibility to uphold the mantle of the Rangers and avenge my Father and find my Brother.

They found out that an AI went rampant and tried to wipe out the Forerunners, so they don't trust AI's.
