I have been amazed to find that even the oldschool gamers have only joined this site because of Halo. I for one am different. I actually joined after I was cruising through looking for Marathon images, as I missed the game so, when I spotted "Most Popular Thread; How to beat Marathon on your PC By Rip Saw" and that was the day I joined B.net

I realise that alot of people are going to say Halo, if that is the case just vote... we don't need 1,000,000 people saying "Yeh it was Halo". Nor do we need people coming and and flaming other people for why they joined.

Over to you guys...

I've been a Marathon fan for a while, the reason I came here is noticing the Marathon symbol on Keyes' suit. I racked my brains, where I've seen it before... Then I remembered Bungie made Marathon too, and I came here.

I have been a fan since marathon, but truth be told I never knew the site existed until the day I joined....

I voted Marathon (first Bungie game I played), but I meant Myth. That was the game I was playing when I started coming to Bungie.net.
I finally joined because of Halo/Halo2.

Good... my thread hit the right audience... I am just upset to hear that probably 95%+ users here have only played Halo and do what emptyevergreen is doing now and just bagging the other games whilst never having played them. It makes me sad to think they don't explore a little of Bungie's history when they think it's soo good.

I'm certifiable.

'Twas Halo for me. I actually found HBO first, can't remember how, and then came here through references from there.

However, what made me a Bungie fan, not only a fan of Halo but a fan of the company that made it, was the Marathon Story Page. That storyline is fully as rich and well-crafted as the best SF novels out there... and that they'd been crafted around a "twitch" game made it all the more wonderful.

-- Steve is looking forward to seeing the same depth come to Halo 2... hopefully the best of both worlds will join, and the gaming world will tremble with the aftershocks of the resulting explosion of brain-carnage.

I joined this site for Bungie, not for one of their games specifically.

I came across the community because of Marathon.

Well I was on some Myth forums, asking where some really good wallpapers were, and someone directed me to bungie.net

Looked around the forums, thought "hmmmm, their aren't enough people here that represent the Myth community"

and the rest is history....

I borrowed Myth from a friend, but I didn't really become curious about the developer until I played Oni, and discovered they were by the same people, so then I decided to search for Bungie in a search engine, and ended up here.

Hey, where's Pimps at Sea?

Probably still in pre-production. With such a monumental game that would forever change the face of gaming as we know it, I am SURE that Bungie wants to "get it right". They'll only have one shot. Historical and cultural accuracy is an absolute must for this one!
I meant in the poll.

It's alright. I unintentionally mislead people all of the time.
