I know that this is probably something youve already thought of, and it is probably problamatic, but what about adding a chat room to the groups

I doubt that bungie.net will add a built-in chat service, but I can direct you to alternatives.

1. Chat Thread in The Flood

2.Yakalike - (For Firefox users)

Oh, and by the way, try checking a few pages back for threads on the same topic. I found this thread on page 2.

yeah, but waiting for responses and the anti-spam cant-post-for-like5min thing would slow it up.

Chairleg Productions presents: 'Console Wars' and 'Games as Art?' (also on Halo Waypoint).

Admitedly, it would be pretty neat to have chapter/group IM chat service, but for now I.R.C is your best bet i think. You can even set-up your chapter or group's very own channel. Give chapter admin and moderators ops, high ranked members half-ops and so on. That's just one idea. You can do many things with irc.

As MCs Bro said, connection to irc.bungie.org (port: 6667).

What about people like me who are at college and can't access I.R.C. channels?

i don't think that would be a good idea it's not like the moderators could just shut down a chat room like a thread cause it wold all be in one "bank" so to say and it would probly get edited out anyway.

Unless your university blocks IRC, which my home one does.

Well if you could convince your Group pals to use Firefox just download the Yakalike extension for Firefox and re-start your browser, click once on the ext. in your browser's lower right hand corner once. Make an account, sign in...& -zing!- you have portable chat!
