Subject: What is your Favorite Halo 1 Level?

Bungie is the best.

Simple as that.

Ok, i believe u shud have polled this post x2 (if its possible).

Anyways my favorite level is "Slient Cartographer". I like the beach landing (i always play on heroic/legendary) and entering tight spaces then coming out into mega big rooms with plenty of covies to kill.

My fav LAN map is probably Blood Gulch on CTF, it jsut kicks ass, too sides with bases, side tunnels and trenches to attack the enemy. A bit like cogalation in halo2 which i like, banshee, turrets and diff bases make them 2 a chocie.

Hang 'Em High has always been my favorite multi-player level... Man, I could always kick ass on that, even against my 25-year-old cousin who was working at Microsoft. And until about a week ago, the only Xbox I could play and train on was my neighbor's. Sidewinder is fun for the ghost glitch and Battle Creek is great for the Warthog wars, but I'd still have to go with Hang 'Em High.

Campaign tied between T&R and Silent Cartographer

  • 02.09.2006 4:39 PM PDT

Doc: "i'm a pacifist"
Caboose: "your a thing that babies suck on?"
Tucker: "no dude, that's a pedephile"
Church: "tucker, i think he means a pacifier"

favorite campaign level is two betrayals, favorite map was sidewinder for ctf. we used to run 8 on 8 that would last for like 5 hours.

silent cartographer, because of the epic beach landing and pretty much riding around in your warthog tearing the -blam!- out of covie ground troops (classic)

though my favorite moment in gameplay would have to be the escaping in the warthog on the maw, that was some mad -blam!- my friend MAD -blam!- especially on legendary where you more likely to get your ass handed to you on a silver platter.

343 Guilty Spark actually can be the best level, freaky especially if you are like me playing it in the middle of the night, and you actually meet a psycho marine. LoLzOrZ!

Evil Angels
CHROMEHOUNDS
1/6/2010- A day that will live on in infamy.

The Man in Black fled across the desert, the Gunslinger followed.

Campaign : Two Betrayals. Why?Because of the action and the huge battle near the end.I love all that action,I normally play with my friend and he gose in and works away,i sit back and snipe and wait for the 2 invible elites to find me...normaly takes them 5min.

Multiplayer : Damnation.I just like it for team games, like 3v3

For Carnage, Apply Within.

I have returned from the Untamed Lands. MOAP is dead.

Chiron TL34 if it didn't have the portals.

But Silent Cartographer is by far the best Halo level period. Infact it was the screenshots of that level that always made me want to play Halo CE in the pre Xbox days.

The REAL Master Chief

Two betrayals because nothing can beat walking up a hill at night with that music playing and seeing this epic battle being fought right in front of you.The banshee comes flying at me and I fire a rocket at the last second. But I really like all the other levels just as much.Halo 2 was bland.

Multiplayer--sidewinder

I like Keyes because it's not too long and for me it has the perfect combination of flood combat/covenant combat/outside/inside. Multiplayer would be Longest, Derilect, and Wizard. I just love them because of symetry and Derilect is good for KOTH, Longest is just good for slayer, and Wizard is good for CTF. IMO. Sidewinder is cool but I don't know 16 people that play Halo and the ones that do live too far away to haul their asses and T.V.'s and X-boxe's to my house or me hauling mine there. So medium maps it is for me!

Campaign: Truth and Reconciliation because of sniping outside at night with beautiful twinkling starry sky and then being lifted up by fun purple grav lift into a shiny purple covenant ship with many intense close corridor and large area battles.

Mulitplayer: Tie between Damnation and Boarding Action (I just think that these are cool maps)

Campaign:

Assault On The Control Room
The TANK, oh YEAH!!!

Keyes
Cleanup duty again... how quaint.

The Maw
A bit like Daytona when in co-op, but with gunfire everywhere.

Multiplayer:
No particular level.

It's a toss up between 343 Guilty Spark and Assualt on the Conrol Room.
343 has great suspense and an interseting story as someone posted earlier.
AOTCRoom has just about every weapon and vehicle and indoor outdoor combat making it one of the more enjoyable.

In a close second I would choose either Two Betrayls, Halo, or Silent Cartographer
Those three have brilliant outdoor combat.

In third Keyes and the Truth and Reconciliation for there sniping and covenant ship battles.

In fourth would be The Maw, I wasn't a fan of the level because of the timer and the blowing of pipes wasn't my thing but it was fun trying to blaze out of the pillar of autumn in a warthog.
I miss FoeHammer

In fifth would be The pillar of Autumn

In last is The Library, for it's repetive combat with the flood and not much to look at in the enviroment.
