If this is the state of my art, then I secede.

I'm more intrigued about this 'Harlod Ryan' character...

You don't know who that is? Anyways, that's weird. Also, conspiracy theory reference as logo ftw.

Extra details

Who is Ondraus Jenkins, and why is he the company president?

Apparently he is the Head of Strategy and Corporate Development at Bungie.

Makes sense to make the guy in charge of Corporate Development in charge of developing your new corporation / side branch / sister company.
I found this. No real information

He's joking about how they mispelled his name.

indeed.

But so perhaps the new title is a future domain for something along the lines of the ARG from Halo 3. Like Halo3.com. Perhaps some or all of these will have a greater purpose. Or maybe even the next project will be too big for Bnet. Either way I hate to speculate so I will just assume they are capping them all for later use, no real reason yet.

Ah, okay. Using the Reach forum made my sarcasm/joke detector go broke.

It's registered to an address in Olympia instead of Bellevue. Interesting...

  • 05.08.2011 5:29 PM PDT

Perhaps Bungie, LLC signed a 10 year deal with Activision but Bungie Aerospace didn't? I dunno... that's the first thing that came to mind.

Loose talk is noose talk.

It's definitely not a new IP. It could be one of these things:

1) A front corporation for the sling shot
2) A corporation that will rival MS and Apple in terms of computer software production.
3) Steam-esque based corporation
4) A contractor for the Department of Defense developing (see bullet point #1).
5) All of the above
6) Profit

I though Aerospace would be a huge part of their new IP. I know Bungie didn't make the campaign level Long Night Of Solace for the Hell of it; They were testing Space flight. But a corporation blows that theory, I can't wait to see the product of all of this.

Now, in the quantum moment before the closure, when all become one. One moment left. One point of space and time.

I know who you are.

You are Destiny.

Whoa. Bungie Aerospace Corporation? Bungie could be doing something similar to the Virgin Galactic?

Games -> Space agency. Makes perfect sense.

Rockstar is a company with several different studios under their name.

But Bungie isn't going to publish their own games so it wouldn't be exactly like them.

Trying something once will increace your chances of success, because you tried it. Try someting twice, and your chances increase yet again - seeing as you've done it. Try something a few thousand times, and your chances of success is exponentially increased; this increase would likely provide success every time

Interesting. My thoughts escape me as far as any possible explanation, cause didn't Bungie already try doing a split branch an Jones didn't like it?

Ok, here's my wet dream for what Bungie does.

Aerospace is an entirely separate community site based around their new game (those other trademarks like Dead Orbit or Seven Seraphs being what I'm guessing). The game is a free flying space sim shooter somewhere along the lines of Rogue Squadron or something. Aerospace will be the hub where different player created fleets (see 'Clans') will vie over the virtual game galaxy something similar to MAG when it came to FPS.

Rough draft I know but space combat is a genre with massive potential unlike the FPS has become. It's what I really hope the next game's direction takes.

They tried that once with Bungie West. Shut down after their first game, Oni. So I doubt that this will happen; also the studio isn't THAT big and wouldn't thrive from splitting up into two separate studios.
