He's using filters in Photoshop...

I like em, but adding a filter is quite simple. try expanding by adding and removing elements, as well as playing around with colors and effects.

also. for your Screenshots. try to avoid objects intersecting. like the AR/DMR's in the 3rd pic. it just looks better.

For comics. i preferr doing them from the bottom up. that's when you get the real comic grain. and I'm slightly in doubt that you posterized and drew all those small tiny lines. when the program could do the exact same job in a second.
