Just a quick question, but I am curious.

In the PoA, Cortana could see everything with help of cameras. But, assuming they have no camera or whatsoever, can a AI hologram "see" through their "eyes"?

I don't believe holograms were AIs. I could be misatken though.

Can't think of a single instance where an AI would not have access to a camera. The hologram is only a user interface.

This man, this man right here put it so eloquently that I actually cancelled my own 2000+ word long post.

The person who said participating is important, not winning, obviously never won anything.

No, it is stated in the novels that the hologram is just representational, it has no actual function for an AI. I forgot which one, though.

Yeah, I thought it was Contact Harvest.

The AI can see you, yes, but not through the hologram, but through the bridge cameras and ships internal sensors and such.

My Grandfather was a Desert Ranger, my Father was a Veteran Ranger in the NCR. My father was killed by Caesar's Legion and they took my Brother. It's now my responsibility to uphold the mantle of the Rangers and avenge my Father and find my Brother.

How does it see you? Like how does Cortana see master chief?

I think so. Example in this cutscene when Cortana puts her hand up to the Gravemind's tentacle.

Yeah, I was wondering about it.

And no, not the hologram AA. I mean when the AI assumes a form, like Cortana. Can she "see" through the form?

I believe that was just to make the cutscene look better or High Charity possess some kind of sensor system. To see something AI needs a camera or any sensor that detects electromagnetic radiation or simply sound waves. If there are no cameras or other sensors for the AI, it's blind. I believe that High Charity has some sensors that detect at least some kind of waves. Cortana had access to High Charity's main network and she could see through them.

Didact's Reprisal -
Now is the time of our unworlding
One final effort is all that remains
And I am not afraid
We shall fulfill our promise
We fight for the grace of the Mantle
And this time none of you will be left behind

I found the Cortana having physical reactions throughout the Halo series to be odd until Contact Harvest explained that AI are designed to represent anything going on in their "minds" with their hologram's movements.

no but they're designed to look as if their avatars were interacting with the world, AI's live through sensors like aboard the poa or in MJOLNIR.
