Aren't the two the same thing? So would I be able to use a CAT5 or CAT6 wire to connect two Xboxes? Let me know, thanx.

You can use a CAT5 or CAT6 to connect to Xboxes as long as they are crossover cables. If you are using a hub you will need non-crossover cables... I think.... Might want to check with someone else I'm not positive.

Its a cable that can send signals and recieve them. For example, your printer is connnected to your computer through a cable. Your computer sends the printer the information it needs to print whatever you are printing. The printer doesnt send anything back. (This is a hypothetical senario. I think most printers do send information back)

A crosover cable can send and recieve signals. For example your Xbox can recieve a signal form the other persons, and his can recieve signals from yours at the same time.

I think... again I am not an expert so dont be too surprised if I am wrong.
