I have played all three in LAN tournaments and I have to say I think Halo 3 takes the most skill. Halo 3 has jump skill which is why to me this is not even a debate, but Halo 2/Reach have button glitches skill. Halo 2 is actually is pretty noob friendly (huge hitbox/autoaim), but no AA gives it a major edge over Reach in my book.

I'm not talking about which is easiest to rank up. I am simply asking which you think takes the most skill to play the game.

Here's what I mean by jump skill. Guardian is a perfect example of jump skill. Here are some Guardian jumps: S1 to S2, G1 to G2, Stump to Blue, Elbow to S1, Elbow to S2/Mid Bridge, Bottom Mid to Top Mid #1 (back tree), Bottom Mid to Top Mid #2 (Grav Lift). It seemed like just mastering maps in Halo 3 took skill while there isn't much to learn in Halo 2 or Halo Reach Maps.

Halo 3 took more skill, but Halo 2 was the better game. Skill means nothing. It's a video game. Things that take skill: Piano, Basketball...NOT VIDEO GAMES!

well i guess im a fanboy if i think that halo2 takes more skill since halo2 was the hardest to rank up in with all the hackers that they had in the game

Not my first B.Net account obviously

halo 2 took more skill than 3 and loads more than reach.

correction reach takes no skill at all since there is no 1-50 ranks in halo reach so it takes no skill at all to rank up

It's amazing how you guys are talking about rank when I specifically said that I am asking about skill to play the game. Rank is designed and controlled by Bungie. While it may indicate skill it is not what I am asking.

This is a Reach account that I created the day they announced his name in a bnet weekly update. Any stats regarding ODST or Halo 3 are irrelevant. Also, Halo CE master race. Halo 1 > other halo games > other games.

Account Status: Silver :(

Halo 3 because of how you had to lead your shots, learn jumps, and sniping was the hardest.

This is the easiest season of Arena by far. Bronze->Gold Silver->Onyx.

Halo Reach, where colonels become brigs and brigs become Legend.

Imagine a triangle. It's perfect, but a little plain. You take a chisel, and carve a small decorative symbol into it to make it a little more interesting. People like it, but it could use a little more.

So you then take a sledgehammer..

Now you see me, now you're dead.

It kinda depends, i am pretty good at DMR, but Battle Rifles seem easy as pie.
Plus, the Warthog gun is even more evil in 3.

But then (and this is HUGE), H3's banshee bomb is not like Reach's. And Some of Reach's weapons are simpler to use as well as 3's.

But you have to agree, RLs and FRGs have not changed.

Halo 3 takes the least amount of skill out of all Halo games.

If you see the name BlackBolt1020 on PS3 then its a kid who's a douche who wants to be me but can't pull it off. Thats why I go by ROBULUSxMAXIMUS.

Halo Reach is more advanced in combat because of the situations that are in front of you from armor abilities. The vehicles also have their own health so you just can't jump in a burning vehicle. I like all the Halo games and I don't try to be a critic.

LOL SO TRUE.

Anyway i will post my thoughts on why i think that, quite frankly im bored atm and thought id share ;)

Please note i am not trying to argue about it, everyone is entitled to their own opinions. An quite frankly normally on these types of matters no ones opinions are ever changed, so therefore an argument on the matter would be a pointless waste of time on both ends. I am merely trying to share my thoughts on the 2 great games (Halo 2 an 3).

Since you brought up jumping, lets look at Halo 2 Lockout's skill jumps. (since guardian is halo 3's "lockout" if you know what i mean)

Door frame jumps: Bottom "ish" mid to S2, (Library goin to Br2s door) to top mid, Br2 to Br3.

Regular jumps: Mid to S3 shortcut, Mid to library window, Mid to Bottom lift/elbows Door entrance, Br3 to sword, Bottom mid edges to either the platform/walkway right before the jump up to Br1 and to the walkway from bottom mid to goin suicide room.

Slide jumps: Br3's antenna thing to the br1 to br2 ramp to top mid.

Some not that hard, but some of the guardians weren't that hard either. And Halo 2's jumping was superjumps. Halo 3's trick jumping was the "replacement" of superjumps, im sure you would agree to that.

I really do hope you or anyone says superjumps like X building, Pipes or Alien Tower didn't take skill...and anyone who jumped on Halo 2 would know there were tons of jumps and tons of hard ones.

Halo 2 took more skill on aiming to kill than halo 3 IMO, an heres why.

Lets use both the SMG and BR as examples. First the SMG, lets say someone had the "first shot" on you with an SMG (first half second/second shot, you get the point) but they are hitting your foot/leg (which both in there own cause greater damage than the other) but you have better aim an can hit them in the face with your SMG, therefore you will out kill them.

Now for the BR, same thing. If they were hitting you in the foot, leg, body it would cause less damage than the head.

Halo 3, 3 shots body last shot head. The first 3 shots to the body/anywhere counted as "headshots". Same with an SMG.

Now lets look at the beatdown system? (not sure what to call it).

Halo 2: You could crouch, side step to avoid a beatdown,BXR or BXB or even a sword.

Halo 3: No such luck on being able to do the above, not only that but lets look at a situation to describe halo 3's beatdowns lack of skill more.

Player A jumps from somewhat up S3 on guardian down towards S2, Player B was previously ARing Player A so hes weak while hes in the air. Player A is not only pretty high above Player B but he also crouches to gain more air. Player B is looking straight ahead of him and Player A is not even in view and Player A is somewhat slightly behind Player B but Player B hits beatdown and it automatically lunges to Player A and beats him down.

Sniping, i can not even really remember the sniping on either halo 2 or 3. I was a top ranking sniper on halo 2 though and a damn good one on halo 3 as well. So what i will do though is level with you an say the actual sniping on halo 2 was easier due to the auto aim (from what i remember). That does not mean it didnt take a hell of a lot of skill to be good at it an do "crazy" stuff though.

If you were going by rank (which you are not, i do read posts before posting lol) A legit 25-30 on halo 2 was a legit 50 on halo 3. And that is NOT because of all the cheating.

Some of you may agree, some may disagree with my post (if what i remember is in fact true) you are all entitled to your own opinions. I did not post to try an argue or try an change them. I posted my vote an gave some reasons why i voted for it.

Edit: Deleted a huge post of empty space after my post >.>
