Subject: The Lockout vs. Guardian Debate

This is actually the stupidest thing ever posted on B.net:

Why does everyone hate Halo 2? Maybe its because its the worst game ever next to mario.

I find it kind of sad that members have to create an alternate account just so they can keep posting on forums. Take your ban like a man and wait it out.

Actually I made this right before I got banned. I got banned for a really weird reason too by the disembodied soul and it's only for two days. I actually explained that I made this because i got an xbox slim and was making a new FREE trial account since I haven't played so long.

EDIT: Also, I am trying to setup Kai today.

Most of those jumps are so easy. They don't involve much aim or timing like Guardians. For one the ghost jumps are very easy. Also, a lot of those jumps are just crouch jumps which require no skill. I could list probably 50 jumps like that on Guardian. At some point I will. I'm gonna try to record me doing those same jumps.

The skill jump section is almost entirely trick jumping not tactical jumps so I disagree once again. I could find tons of those videos for halo 3, but I am talking about matchmaking/mlg/gameplay types.

I watched that whole thing and I can pull of about 50% of those (i just tried them all and got most of them on first try). Keep in mind I haven't played Halo 2 in over a year and play bumper jumper on the newer games. They are not hard compared to Halo 3 jumps. They are simple mash jumps and because of the textures its much less chaotic on the screen so you can learn it easier. I would like you to pull off all of them in a row twice each to prove that you can do them since you find them less challenging. I can render it for you with bungie pro, but my capture card is broken. I might use digital camera for halo 2, but it's really low quality.

To whoever is wondering why I chose these two maps it's because over time several people in the halo 2 is overrated thread have compared them and called Guardian it's spiritual successor. My favorite H2 map is midship and my favorite halo 3 map is The Pit, but I choose these two because of the comparisons made prior. Like I said I don't think they are the best maps, but most people do (at least Halo 2 players) so I am going with that. Personally I think The Pit is about 100x better than Guardian, but I still like it for MLG Oddball.

In addition I didn't want all kinds of jumps but since we are doing that here are the types.

Ghost Jumps: Involve mashing jump button and timing/direction. Both maps have these.

Gap Jumps: Less skill involved with these. A few are difficult because they may require crouch timing. Both maps have these.

Slide Jumps: Involve direction and crouching and uncrouching while jumping against walls. You kind of slide against the textures after jumping but do not mash the jump button. Not sure if they are found in lockout.

I will break down all of the jumps of each. I didn't originally intend to go over every jump in each map since there may be hundreds, but I will if I must to prove my point. I will upload practical jumps first and trick ones after. I do not consider HLG jumps tactical, but I will upload them after.

The Guardian jumps require much more skill. How can someone even say that the Lockout jumps are harder? Even if that we true LOL it still would not matter because the Halo 3 jumps are way more useful!

All three forms of jumping are found constantly on Halo 2's Lockout. You didn't watch that entire video, did you?
