I started up the heated debate on whether the SPARTAN-II in the cryo tube near the end of Reach is really Linda.

Here's my theory. Each Halo ring is essentially a large particle collider. Two elements are smashed together, thus creating cross-phased supermassive neutrinos which kill sentient life. We know from real wold particle composers that they create elements.

No, that's unlikely. If that's the case what's to stop the Covenant or even the UNSC from building one?

It probably uses certain particles or elevens neither have come across. Also I'm sure that slipspace is involved to make the particles go ftl

I'm pretty sure there's no part of the LHC called a phase pulse generator.

It's based on another concept called neural physics.

It's a metaphor for the 07s' lack of identity. too old to be newfag, yet too new to be oldfag, we wander b.net in search of a home, forever trying to be something we are not.

You are operating under an incorrect understanding of how the rings work and what they fire.

I just figured with their shape they could have in the middle of them a gigantic paricle collidor.

The rings themselves aren't particle colliders but they must use some kind of collision system to create supermassive neutrinos. Tau neutrinos are the most massive neutrinos known to this date but I believe Halo array uses something even more massive.

They're rings so they can be spun for artificial gravity. When building a giant artificial world that isn't a sphere, your best bet would be a Ring shape.

hi

they use radiation, so I heard.

  • 05.15.2011 6:43 AM PDT

they aren't similar to the Large Hadron Collider, well they are in shape but that is all! though that could be famous last words to be honest, wouldn't it just be ironic that an accident at the LHC causes an enormous radiation pulse that fries all living things on the planet...!
