Subject: Is Hayabusa armor canon?

I started up the heated debate on whether the SPARTAN-II in the cryo tube near the end of Reach is really Linda.
I created the Moa XING avatar pic.
Also I earned the All Star nameplate with this submission to Week 14 All Stars http://www.bungie.net/images/News/Inline11/bwu_0415/art/likea boss.jpg

It seems like the DoA guys and Bungie made a deal to where Nicole would be allowed on DoA4 and Ryu Hayabusa would be in H3. Of course Bungie can't put the ninja in the game so they make a armor modeled after him. We haven't seen Hayabusa and Nicole since. Since the Bungie armor is non-canon, is this the same with Hayabusa? Or is Hayabusa actually canon. I'm not saying I dont believe it is, I'm just addressing the question for debate.

I just play for fun. MLG can kiss my ass.

It was a rival armor project that was developed alongside Mjolnir. So, it's canon.

Your one stop shop for all of 343's fabulous errors and ridiculous notions in the Halo lore.

So you have no problem with an unrealistic Spartan who fights in casinos against Japanese schoolgirls being canon, but a special armor confuses you?

Nicole is canon while her appearance in doa4 is not. To me it seems like this is Ryu Hayabusa is canon but his appearance in h3 is not. But because it's armor that "represents" him, I question the status of it's canonicity. Also to me a rival armor system doesn't make sense. Thy have mjolnir, which is better

Unfortunately Hayabusa is canon, although I do not consider it to be canon.

Doesn't the background of the armor say it's lighter, but just as strong?

This. I just view it as the reference to Ninja Gaiden, nothing more.

No, it is weaker. But lighter.

It is cannon however
