Bungie, I understand why you wont put Halo:CE on live. My question, is whether or not it is possible to let a third party software developer do it like you had with Halo PC. Is there any chances that this could/would happen?

I know that you guys are probably just going to say "JUST USE XBC". Well XBC is fine and dandy, but its quality is obsolete compared to XBOX Live. Xbox Live helped the original xbox stay in the market and will certainly play a big role in the current 360-gen. The quality of online gaming that is XBOX Live is unparallelled (sp) in any other gaming service, period. The main reason why we would like a Halo: CE on LIVE is so you dont have to boot up your computer every time you want to play Halo: CE on live. We dont want to run some random program just to be able to play a game. In addition, Halo: CE could take advantage of many features found on Halo 2's online mode, and most notably that would be voice communication. I know they sort of have it on Halo PC, but thats a completely different story right there. I know i'm a minority, and I'm not the "halo 2 basher" that many people on this forum are. While Xbox connect is great, xbox live is perfect. Well, close to perfect.

So bungie, could you dudes by any chance give the rights to making an Online Halo: CE to say, gearbox? It would please many fans while you work on the mysterious "Next Project"

Either way, thanks for giving us the greatest games ever conceived by man.(It's science!)

The word intelligent is not used lightly.

One post I could actually relate to, so many people act pretty stupid about XBL-H CE topic.

Thank you. You may have found an answer to our problems.

Why do people in ship mutinies always ask for "better treatment"? I'd ask for a pinball machine, because with all that rocking back and forth, you'd get a lot of free games.

Maybe in order to understand mankind, we have to look at the word itself: "Mankind". Basically, it's made up of two separate words - "mank" and "ind". What do these words mean? It's a mystery, and that's why so is mankind.

I say nay.

While it is a great idea...it would never happen. Bungie would never let anyone get a hand on Halo: Combat Evolved. Not only that, but it is not as simple as you think to make Halo: CE Xbox Live enabled. The game would have to be completley reformatted; among other things that would have to be changed.

The complexity of having the rights to do something like that...and re-selling the game in stores is probably much more of a hassle then anyone at Bungie or Gearbox want to deal with. The customer base would be unfortunatley limited to harcore fans and those who are new to the gaming world just buying Halo: CE. I would certainly not mind having Halo: CE Xbox Live enabled, however we shall have to be content with Xbox Connect and it's competitors (let's be thankful we have something to play online with).

Speaking of Xbox Connect...I have recently been playing on it alot for Halo: CE and there are no more then 20-35 games going on at once, unfortunatley showing the lack of want for Halo: CE to be Xbox Live enabled.

I think XBC will suffice. Your idea would have made sense a couple of years ago but now most consumers (sadly) are onto the next thing. It wouldn't be a smart move to even bother making it because now most people are getting 360 and waiting patiently for the release of Halo 3. So although your idea is pretty good, financially it isn't an intelligient descion.
