My full opinion is that the best way, by far, to experience Halo 1 is on an oXbox and a CRT TV.
But even on an LCD and a 360, which is IMO the absolute worst way to experience it, it's my favorite Halo campaign.
The downsides you might get on such a setup:
-Some vfx, such as the sky fog on AotCR, don't render correctly on 360 (they replaced that particular effect with a flat fade in the 360 emulation)
-Framerate isn't consistantly good on either platform, but on the 360 it's not as stable and it's more difficult to compensate
-Halo 1 sounds comparatively awful on most flatscreen speakers (the sound consistantly seems a little off, but most obnoxious are the terrible sfx/music balance issues that crop up)
-The color balance of the game looks better on a CRT no matter how much you adjust most LCD's (though this could arguably be said for almost anything)
-If your flatscreen has bad input latency, and many do, especially HDTV's, it can clash with Halo 1's smaller hitboxes and lower reticle magnetism and cause the game's controls to feel loose and slippery
