I kill the enimy, but do not hate them

Why are all the halo vehicles names after an animal? Except like two. Its pretty unique, im just wondering if there is a reason to it

Even the greatest were once at the bottom.

...and the Covenant vehicles are paranormal creatures.

Glory and fame, blood is our name!
Souls full of thunder, hearts of steel!
Killers of men, a warrior's friend!
Sworn to avenge our fallen brothers!
Sons of the gods, today we shall die.
Open Valhalla's door!
Let the battle begin, with swords in the wind! Hail Gods of War!

I understand nothing because my life is a conspiracy.

They are nicknames. For example, the Scorpion is really called the M808B Main Battle Tank.

UNSC name their vehicles after animals.
Covenant name theirs after paranormal creatures, and their walkers after Bugs.

Technically do not the UNSC name the Covenant?

but remember, they are just nicknames. maybe there is a job specifically made for nicknaming things, and the guy who has that job just likes animals for UNSC things and paranormal crap for Covies. then he took a look at the scarabs and locusts and thought, "those are bugs"

KIWIZ RULE THE WORLD!

Its just that nobody knows it yet...

CAUSE THEIR BEAST!

end of discussion.

Indeed, giving things "beastly names" gives a psycological edge to the vehicles.

Would a main battle tank be as intimidating if it was called the Doormouse ? - of course not, it needs a macho name like Scorpion or Grizzly !

Same goes with the Covie vehicles I guess !

Someone said the Scorpion's turret is its tail, its front tracks its chelipeds(pincers), and it rear tracks its legs.

Do you know what kind of hat I'm wearing?

A party hat; you don't get one. An honor will this party be, a party in your honor, for your honor. Some of Tfear's personal guards are going to be there. You'll be introduced shortly.

Prepare to die.

The scarab could be considered mythological in Egyptian legends.
The scarab-beetle god Khepera was believed to push the setting sun along the sky in the same manner as the beetle with his ball of dung.
