Well, when the game starts off, everything is fine on the current setting I have, which is default, but then after a while, when I get close to a warthog, the body of the warthog stretches itself flat, leaving only the wheels visible, same thing happens with other players, and the weapon I'm holding.

Anyone have an idea whats wrong? could it be that my video card isn't compatible with halo PC?

It's called Artifacting; something inside your computer is overheating and damaging components, most likely the video card is being damaged with excess heat.

It's a radeon 9000 or something, its 64 mb

and it might be the heating problem, I'll try doing something to keep it cool

Try taking the side of your case off and let it flow a little better with Cooler air. Readon's run rather hot mine runs around 60-70 Celius.

ATI Radeon brand cards don't run that hot; my overclocked X800XL runs around 35-40 Idle, 40-50C Load.

nVidia brand cards however, run much hotter than ATI cards.

Opening the case isn't the best solution. Most cases are designed for air flow, and opening it up doesn't help as much as more fans would.

And i think that opening the case would void the warrenty if its still valid.

Assuming it's manufactured...ah the joys of building your own pc :D

Do you notice this problem in any other games? About how far into it does this occur, or is that irrelevant?

unless your case sucks ass like mine >_<

yup. i have to leave the side off just to be able to run my overclocked cpu without overheating (even with it nonoverclocked it gets pretty damn hot)
