There are far more variables in Reach, thus more to keep tabs on, more to think about, and more to comprehend.

Maybe I'm wrong, but I believe that it takes far more skill to maintain a multitude of aspects and variables than it does to maintain several.

Not really more isn't better. This is why CoD 4 is so much better than the recent CoDs and MLG always tries to simplify the settings.

The less luck involved the more skill is involved.

burn. but really joker, you seem to be pretty awful at halo. go play some griffball

Not really, i have placed at LAN events and have most probably got the most 50s out of anybody in this thread, have onyx on reach (not that it matters) and have earned thousands of pounds from gaming.

you prob do, im impressed at you're Service record and all... but your right less luck involved the more skill involved... thats why i enjoyed H2 so much more than the newer halo games

ya i've seen your sevice record nothing there thats inpressive my k/d is low cause im not the only one who plays on my gamer tag cause i go to work 5-6 dayz a week. in that time my girlfriend or the kidds come over and play but if u wanna go an talk big send me a friend reqest an get ur best vs my best.. ps try get yourself a killionar in griff ball at least one.

Oh god. Not another one of these kids. You call me out on stats and when the tables are turned you can't take it. Whats to stop those killionaires being gotten by your kids etc.
I go to college during the week and then have work on the weekend. My friends play on my account also yet I still manage to do okay. I myself don't think stats show the full picture but if your K/D is that much below 1.00 you have to be terrible. I don't see why I should play griffball just to achieve some medal in a videogame.

You can't really comment on the skill of a game because you aren't a competitive gamer (and no, searching under competitive does not make you a competitive gamer.)

You say goodbye, and I say good riddance.

you're really asking me this question OP?

Well, if Halo 2 had forge....

Reach Halo 2

HD Graffix SD Graffix
Moar weaponz less weapons
Theater none
Forge none
Bettar Customs none
Armory none
Challenges none
Invasion none
Firefight none

other problems include OP BR,less ppl in MM, and no XBOX live compatable interface.

yes halo 2 had dual weild and a better campagin but Reach is wayy bettar
By your logic, ODST was better than H:CE Because it had FF, Theater, more weapons, equipment, and more people "online". Halo 2 had much less hype than Reach, Halo wasn't as known as it is today.

Add me for Octagon and MLG type 4v4s/FFA!

Halo 2. The golden triangle is still well intact, and it's a lot faster paced than Halo: Reach. Button combos were a very competitive and risk/reward part of the game. Superbouncing was annoying, but compared to AL, it's no big deal and it's actually fun to do.

Three friends are trapped on a deserted island. They find a lamp with a genie in it, who will grant them each one wish. The first guy wishes he was home. The second guy also wishes he was home. The third guy says "I'm lonely, I wish my friends were here."

Halo Reach. I haven't played Halo 2 though so I can't really give a true opinion on it.

Secret Option: Halo 3, better maps and gameplay with added superbounces, they were fun

I think all the Halo games are SUPER!!! But Halo 2 gameplay was just unmatched, and the cutsceens where awsome! For those who never played Halo 2, You missed out Buddy!

Halo 2, all day every day (H2's FFA customs stole my heart).

Even if you asked me which were my most favorite out of all the Halo games, my choice would still be Halo 2 by a landslide.

Lol. I'm not sure where I read it but I recall seeing a quote in which Infinity ward claimed that The first COD4 was an utter mistake.

Simplification is for idiots. It's really as easy as that.

A champ of checkers isn't a champ at Chess. Pretty much the best analogy I could use for this.

Your friendly and eccentric Sangheili forum-poster. :)

Halo 2. Sure, Reach has quite a few features compared to Halo 2, but in Halo 2, the community was better, the maps were better, the weapons were better and some of my best online gaming moments have happened on Halo 2.

In other words, if Halo 2 had Reach's armoury, theatre, Forge, Firefight and gametype customization, it would be one kick-ass game.

In a world where hate, violence, death, and destruction are all far too familiar a concept. When we stop, even for the briefest of a second and look on at the world we've left behind; cold, bloodstained, and dead, one can't help but to ask "Why?" Its at this point our hearts jump for the hope of ending this relentless cycle of hate, and dream of a world unmarked by the blood of war, and death. This is the world I will stand ever so vigilantly to protect.

Not even a -blam!- contest.

Reach wins.
Does anybody remember the begining of Halo 2?
Or its flaws...

I didn't like the Halo 2 MM. I can't go into details about mechanics and gameplay since I just play for fun, but I believe that both games are good in their own ways. One can say that H2 was revolutionary while another would say the same for Reach. Either way, even if you 'back up' your point, there is no real valid answer considering everyone questions people back, by responding with opinions/facts, that are pretty much rebounding questions. "Define/Define________", "Your point is invalid", 'Asking the question, a question", and so forth.

Overall, I prefer CE because it was the first MM game I ever played. Other then that, H2 did not particularly amuse me as much as Reach has.

Don't worry, you're still your mom's favorite Bnet member.

Reach. Not that Halo 2 wasn't epic, there's just more to do. It has more content, no denying it.

Reach is newer and overall better, but 2 is always gonna be my fave.

Well, Halo 2 had an amazing campaign, but since it has no more multiplayer, Reach.

Reach. And don't even start that "true fans" bull-blam!-, you don't know what you're talking about.
Oh, I don't? You mean, the ones who have been supporting Bungie through their old mistakes, and always pumping suggestions into the forums? Here's something to chew on: Not even Halo 2 had this much hate, and it was considered to be rushed, and cut out a lot of things that Bungie would have loved to keep.

You're also forgetting that if you want to play an online FPS, it was the only game in town. Reach is bad but Halo 2 was faaaaaaaar from perfect.

-Graphics doesn't make a game good.
-There is no need for multiple weapons that serve the same purpose.
-Could care less about theater I want to play not watch.
-Forge is the only positive thing added to Halo since 2.
-Reach doesn't have better customs only more customizable I'd much rather play CE.
-A game with an armory must be good right?
-Challenges defiantly add to game play I only bought this game because it had challenges.
-Invasion is just a gametype that isn't even that great.
-Firefight is just a mini campaign.
-BR was not OP.
-Less people doesn't make a game bad.
