Which team did you like more, Noble Team or Buck's squad from H3:ODST?

I think I liked the characters from ODST more then Noble Team. IDK why, but they just seemed more enjoyable to play with. Plus the voice acting in H3:ODST is far better.

What about you guys?

Bucks squad was amazing, I really enjoyed the entire cast of ODST. It felt like a real squad and their actions felt like a real squad.

Noble felt really clunky and I didn't really like any of them.

hi

accadently voted neither... bucks squad had 6 good caracters who had emotions and you actully felt for them... unlike noble team, who had 1 guy with emotions and you never actully gave a damm about them.

I'm a huge fan of Firefly so running around with Capt. Reynolds, Jane and Wash was good times. Loved the references too. Dutch calling his weapon Vera pleased me greatly.

Bucks squad, mainly because Adam Baldwin (Dutch) is in it, but they also don't suck and they no when to make a joke on the battle field.

"I may not be perfect, but always been true."

I did not like Buck Squad that much, save for the Epic chieftain scene, but that's about it.

Buck's squad had depth, more emotion and history. Noble Team felt like a bunch of cardboard cut-outs. There was just nothing there. Don't get me wrong, I liked Noble Team but I'd definitely choose Buck's Squad any day.

I like the characters of each equally. I think both sets of voice actors did awesome jobs. Maybe the Squad is a little more special to me because of Firefly and Serenity, but I think the vocal performance and expression of Noble Team was just about as good as theirs.

This pretty much sums up my love for the squad from ODST.

If you're passionate about the thing you're talking about, I'll always lend an ear.

Not only that, they actually work as a team.

Maybe, but so did Noble.

Amusingly enough, I'd say the rookie/other ODSTs spent just as much time alone/with only one other person as Six did in their respective campaigns.

Overall, I liked both.

Don't worry, you're still your mom's favorite Bnet member.

I have to pick Buck's squad. I felt like they were developed characters that we could really care about. They just felt more personable and real. Noble Team was too cliche for me to feel anything from them. The only one I like was Jorge and he died just as I was getting to know him.

  • 05.20.2011 2:35 PM PDT

I said buck since I am a huge Firefly fan like somebody else stated plus 5/6th of noble isn't canon :)

Buck's squad was actually good. You got a bit of character development, and a good story to throw in. Heck, ODST was the true "boots in the mud" game that Bungie made. I could connect to all characters on some level, and each had unique personalities, and their emotions felt real.

Noble was boring, and had little to no character development. Cardboard cut-outs.

Once you think about it, ODST was the true "Human" story. The true "boots in the mud" story.

I guess what I'm trying to say is, Buck's squad felt real. Noble were throw-aways. They were meant to die in a short span of time so weren't given any development what-so-ever. Cardboard cut-outs.

Neither. Hate FireFly, hate Reach. Simple as that.

Buck's squad. For same reasons as everyone else. Those characters had depth.

@accordingto343

Your one stop shop for all of 343's fabulous errors and ridiculous notions in the Halo lore.

I only really liked Dutch from Buck's squad, so I'd go with Noble because Noble all had things I liked.

Neither. My favorite was the squad of Sangheili Special Operations that followed you in Halo 2 from the Sacred Icon Mission.

NO GROUP INVITES!!!

In my opinion: ODST is (single player gameplay, story and character-wise) the best Halo along with Halo 2.
Reach? The worst. And Noble being somehow boring, uninteresting, stupid, emotionless and lessening the value and idea of Spartans (as my friend noted) is one of the biggest contributors to this.

I am rather beginning to suspect that you are nothing but a pernicious troll.
