Subject: How strong are Jackals and Skirmishers?

The gravity of Evan their home world is .875 G only 12.5% less....

And yet they are capable of the same (if not greater) leaps and jumps of a Cougar, a animal of around the same size (actually slightly smaller) that is well capable of overpowering a human.

And they do all of that in earth's gravity

Bungie.Match.com: Our Johnson knows what the ladies like.

I'd imagine they would be strong.

Which is why it doesn't make sense. Muscles capable of that on Earth, or Reach, would atrophise in lower gravity conditions. They would not evolve and retain capabilities like this in the first place that would not be used on their Homeworld.

I think skirmshers can jump that high for gameplay purposes , not in cannon . Also jackals are shown to be frail , I think skirmshers are made to appear stronger to make Halo : Reach more desparate.

I'm not sure what you're looking for.

"Reckless words pierce like a sword, but the tongue of the wise brings healing" -- Proverbs 12:18

Jackals are scouts. Most likely their training is based on stealth and marksmanship. Skirmishers are fast, accurate, and strong in the lower body. I would also would guess that they are strong in the upper, as in-case of a missed leap they would need to pull them selves up. A Skirmishers kick would be powerful, as if you examine their legs their clawed. I wouldn't be surprised if a Skirmisher won a fight with a brute.

I didn't ever see them ever being mentioned to be weak. They can jump higher. Look at their legs. They resemble a cat's.

I would say they are strong for their size and build, as they are described as ripping apart human civilians with bare hands and claws. (Alongside Grunts).

You can not deny what they are seen doing in games.

Also, they would by the law of gravity be even stronger on their home planet, who know what sorts of predators they evolved against, also any muscles atrophy in lower gravity conditions... thats why astronaughts must always be exersising.

My name is Legion, for we are many.

Well, seeing as Jackals evolved from predatory creatures themselves they probably wouldn't be physically deficient in any way. They did hire themselves out to the Covenant as mercenary soldiers, so they'd probably have to get used to higher gravity levels as I think they're the only alien species in Halo whose homeworld isn't a real planet.
