2:10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.
2:11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:
2:12 That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

In a lot of other forums, next to the thread name it usually says how many people viewed this thread and how many people posted in this thread. Of course we can see how many posted, but a lot of times I want to know how many people view my thread.

Sometimes I make threads and nobody responds. So I jump to the conclusion that my thread was boring or something....But still I would want to know how many people viewed it in order to see if nobody bothered to click it or they just had nothing at all to say.

I dont see how this can cause problems, so I think it should be implemented.

I don't think it would be necessary. I guess it would be nifty, but we don't really need one.

2B || !2B - Why don't you look Inside the Machine?

Why do something like that? It is absolutely worthless unless you purposely would look at the counter to boost you ego? *No offense* But there are so many other things Bungie could do with the site.

I hate everything, but it's not my fault.

Nah, Achronos has better thing to work on. Like some ingenious way to prevent people from switching possessives and contractions (your and you're; its and it's). Or the Search. I think the former is more important though ;-)

It wouldn't be hard to add a hit counter...

But in any case, it's not a good idea. Wouldn't accomplish anything.

It probably won't help. A search engine and improvements to forum content would be more helpful.

No, definitely not. It would promote giant threads (Dumbo will see the thread, see how many people have viewed and posted in it, and seek to be "popular".), and inversely, it would have the opposite effect on smaller new threads that oftentimes are very well thought out.

I find no purpose in having a view counter. To me, it's just a silly ego booster.

And we would love to see Halifax with a boosted ego.

Nonsense, my ego is fine just the way it is. And if you want to get a signed autograph from me, I suggest you change your tune. I hate people who suffer from jealousy.

I think this forum might have originally had a view counter, and it was taken out for the whole popularity reason. I really don't think it's necessary to have a view counter.

I think that a google type search engine would help. It would especially help in places like the Septagon where someone can get answers without reading several pages of threads looking for a relevant one.
