Ok, so you can post news and articles and whatnot and choose which security roles can see it. Right. So, i got thinking "hullo," i thought. "Why not have an option to enter multiple member's names who can see it?!"

So basicly what i imagine is a text box where you can type in the members' names which you want to show the resource/news etc to. The names can be seperated by comma seperation or similar e.g. Gods Prophet,Impurity,Snowmanaxt

So that resource or whatever can now only be seen by Gods Prophet, Impurity and Snowmanaxt.

I guess it's much more of a novalty, but i think it would be pretty nifty all the same.

Understand? Ok. Thoughts/comments time.

Interesting feature but it seems kind of pointless since if you want specific members to see it then you just make the members that rank. Plus the site team has alot of other things on there plate right now.

I don't think it would be pointless. Especially for chapters/groups that have reached their role quota already, and what if i didn't want to change their role?

I realise the team are working very hard i know. This is merely an idea for the future, i did not expect implimentation on demand.

I'm not that active, but never dead.

I like the typing idea, considering that check boxs would be horrorible.

I could see where that would be good for group forums. The only problem is, you could achieve the same effect with PMs couldn’t you? Or am i not understanding what you mean?

If you want only specific people to see the news, why not just PM them?

It's true, PMing for small amounts of people would probably be the easiest way. However, a few things:

1) User friendliness. It would be much easier for me to type in peoples' names and submit the story or whatever rather than having to go to each of their profiles and message them.

2) What if i wanted the people to see a resource? The resource information may possibly not be able to be sent in a pm.

3) Numbers. Say i wanted to pm quite a lot of people, but didn't want to change their role. I really wouldn't fancy PMing lots of people (I've tried it, it takes a long time).
