This was such a great game but I feel like it was abused by people only for recon armor in Halo 3 and the Halo Reach Beta. This game had so much going for it I sure it was short but it was still fun. It had a great soundtrack, great casting, and great game modes (Sure only 2 but still) so i ask you again, why.

Vengeance only leads to an ongoing cycle of hatred.

Isn't it obvious? It's sad, but people are too multiplayer driven. Why'd they want Recon, so badly? To show it off in Halo 3 multiplayer. Why'd they want the Halo: Reach Beta? To play the new, Halo: Reach matchmaking. Nobody seems to care about the story anymore. Not even Bungie seems to care. I mean, look at Reach. They made something beautiful with ODST, but Reach was an abomination. But, what always comes out as the better game to people? Reach. Because it has multiplayer and more modes. If everybody cared about the story, ODST would always come out on top as the best game. But, now, even Bungie seems to not care or else Reach's campaign would've actually been plausible and not a big pile of crap.

I completely agree I mean I can't stand multiplayer in Reach so I normally play Firefight with friends and even then it's nowhere as good or as fun as ODST Firefight

Well then, you somehow found my signature, nice job, so time for your prize.............FLOODIANS! ATTACK! Also, those socks do NOT make you look handsome.

Multiplayer is the only reason people actually bought Reach, except for me and a few others, because I didn't even have XBL when I got the Halo games, so I didn't even care about Multiplayer, I only cared about the storyline and campaign. And Recon isn't even that good if you don't have a B.net profile (which I did not have at the time). And people did abuse it. Now only a few have been left who still play ODST, and in my opinion, was one of the best Halo games, due to awesome street fighting and the new aspects to the campaign.

Honestly, any body who plays only the multiplayer aspect of the games, they're missing out on a major point of the game! if you don't play through campaign/ story mode/ whatever, you won't understand important parts of the game, also, you'll miss out on things like weapons introductions, damage scales, characters, maps, understanding and much more

I know, I loved the campaigns of all the Halo games and yet I know people who only play multiplayer but haven't played the story. Of course I'm always on their case about this and I've managed to convince a few. But hey what are you going to do, right.

It's sad cause it's true.

Jesus loves you! But I think you're a -blam!-

Is there a gamertag exchange topic in this forum? I'd like some people to play ODST with.

I agree with you on Reach's campaign being horrible. I'm a huge sucker for lore and back-story and all the fun junk, so you can imagine my excitement when a game titled after one of the best Halo novels ever was going to be released.

I understand that it's Bungie's game, but it seemed like to me that they went out of their way to make it contradict the novels in every way possible...

They ruined the image of my favorite character ever, Dr. Halsey, in Reach's campaign. Meh.

But alas, back to ODST, what an amazing piece of work as far as story goes. This game will most definitely be included in my soon to occur Halo Trilogy Story Playthrough.

As soon as I find Halo 2, of course. ><

Maybe the just wanted to get it out of the way to make they're next hit. They sure seem excited to unveil it. They're even calling it better than Halo.
