u know the black sargent in halo 1, can't remember his name but he died in halo 1 on the maw and u are the only surviver besides dust and echoes. Why is the black sargent in halo 2. I am glad though that he is in halo 2 because he is the coolest

His name is Avery Johnson, I think. And that ending on Legendary was meant as an Easter egg ( which is basically just a cool little thing that means nothing. ).

Also, read the book Halo: First Strike to find out more about Johnson.

The true answer... Sgt. Johnson is the meanest -blam!-tard that ever existed. Nothing not even God's own personal anti-son-of-a--blam!- machine, or a giant hoola hoop is going to stop him.

You know (I havent read the book please do not kill me) What if all the new things the books say arent meant to be worked into the storyline.. and are mere stories just to read?

Sorry if this ^ has been asked.. but *diverting attention* Why must everyone ask about the black seargent dying? I have seen countless threads about this.

The books tie in directly to the game. Bungie even said so. You should feel ashamed of yourself for even considering that the books have nothing to do with the storyline. Now go read them and learn the Tru7h.

I haven't read the books either... yet. But back a few months ago on the Xbox forums, I heard people saying that Bungie put him back in Halo 2 for two reasons. 1) Bungie really like him and wanted him back in Halo 2. 2) Bungie meant it as a joke.

cheers,
Twisted Chains
