Hey all, I just noticed that this website shows a Halo 4/Halo HD game for anticipation for E3 2011. I don't know how reliable it is, or if they are just guessing that another game is on it's way, but I went ahead and voted for it. Take a look and tell me what you think.

So...you voted for the game just because it has the name "Halo" attached to it.

What a great representation of a gamer.

Halo 2 for Life!

voting based on history isn't the worst thing one could do.

Based upon the history of this franchise, it's pretty close to it.

Even worse, the new developer hasn't actually made a game yet.

Come on Chicken, I don't know if you went to the link, but it was just a "What are you excited for" poll. I'll admit it, I'm excited for the next Halo game. I'm excited to see a fresh take on the game. Now, after the next one comes out, ask me if I'm still excited...

I voted in it.

Specifically, I voted on series that are consistently fun and improving with each game.

That means Mass Effect 3, Future Soldier, and Gears of War 3.

Halo 4
Half Life Episode 3
Darkness 2
Aliens: Colonial Marines

OMG

Well, if he's truly excited for the rumored Halo 4 or CE remake I see no problem with that.

Based upon the history of the franchise, it should be at least decent. Are you really that sceptical about 343i? They even have old Bungie employees who worked on Halo CE and 2. Besides, Microsoft wouldn't let their biggest franchise fall. They haven't got all the money out yet.

(Disclaimer: By Microsoft I am referring to Microsoft itself, not 343i, Bungie, Certain Affinity or any other developer that has made a Halo game/part of a Halo game.)

It only takes a simple question to change everything.

I really hope it's reliable.

The franchise has been steadily going downhill since the day after the Halo 2 demo at E3.
Are you really that sceptical about 343i? They even have old Bungie employees who worked on Halo CE and 2.I'm just saying, 343 has no track record. If there are more people that worked on Halo 2, then the game's -blam!-.

Then what Halo game did you enjoy if you can't put your faith on ex-Bungie employees?

Only the first one, after the hype for the rest disappeared. Halo 2 was monotonous and the multiplayer broken, Halo 3 was very similar, though less broken. Campaign was the same thing over and over, no variety of ways to approach situations on hard difficulties and you die nearly instantly from everything. Ditto to Reach, except it was more cheap.

As a campaign-only guy, I have to disagree. 2's campaign was a for real challenge, and 3 was tough but fair. Reach is easily the easiest, but here are some nasty situ's...Who among us has cleared them cleanly ?
