I would swing by, but seeing that I don't have a disc...
*grabs Me15ter by the collar and shakes him*
Go to Walmart and buy a new copy it's only $20. If you don't have $20; mow a lawn, or chop some firewood or shovel snow. Just stop moaning about not having a disk.
Wait... do you still have the CD key. Can you use a burned copy of another Halo disk and use your CD key or is there is something on the disk that matches your key?
[Loud enough for any stalking ninjas to hear]
Not trying to violate any rules here, but would like to clarify. Does the CD key satisfy purchase of the license or do you need possession of the original disk?
Agh! Being shaken like chocolate milk here! 0_oU
Anyways, a few things. I mentioned that I didn't have a disc because if I simply said "I can't play," people will ask "why not?" Which means I'll have to double post. No, I'm not whining about not having a disc. I'm just retelling it for clarification and so not to insult the game host when I tell them I can't play.
Second, I have a friend with a copy of Halo that I will rip and burn for my use (that is, when I get my lazy arse up for it). Because I rightfully purchased my own individual copy of Halo, this falls neatly under the EULA. This basically gives me the right to make as many copies of the game as I want, so long as only I, or others who have purchased the game, use it. CD Keys don't need to match with the CDs.
And finally...20 bucks for another copy of Halo? If I really had the money, I'd spend that 20 on another game, say HL2 or...well, I'd actually spend it on some freakin food, to be honest. Oh, and people will give you money for shoveling snow or chopping wood up until High School, but after that, it's basically a shame to do that. And in college, you'd rather spend that 20 on something more productive like that massive student debt you've accumulated. ^_^U
