I just got back into gaming, so I got Deja vu and Endure on Halo 3: ODST for Recon. I immediately hopped on Halo 3 after being absent and started to play. It all well downhill and I was disappointed. It's not really the fact that there is not many players online it's just the people. I pick up a sniper and my teammate keeps shooting me because he wants it. So he killed me... Then the next game, a guy kept shooting us and letting the other team kill him. Third game... A guy just repeatedly jumping up and down. I mean come on what happened to the good old days. Out of five games only one was legit with normal people. I mean really though why do people need to boost... In Halo 3, but to wrap up and what I mainly wanted to get to is that everyone should just play fair and play the game how it should be played. I love Halo, I've been playing it since day 1 and I'm still going strong. It's a part of my life. I just want to have fun, real game with real players who love Halo as much as I do.

Ranked is full of derankers...

I've noticed. :/ Are any game types still good for playing?

There are no derankers in social.

Anyway, the problem is that your skill level is too low. Most derankers search in the 10-35 skill range. 50 high ranked and there are little to no derankers.

I played 3 games of team slayer the other night, 50 high and every game I had a different deranker on my team. Doesn't matter what skill level you are.

Plus, how are people meant to even get to level 50 when they can't get past 35 because of derankers? Finally, what's the point in playing in social? The reason most people don't play Reach is because it's lack of competetive element, so if you're only playing social you may as well play Reach, also you generally get bad kids in social so it's just boring beating them over and over.

I like social...I don't even play matchmaking on Halo 3 anymore. I get bored fast.

Well, that's weird, in the past few weeks I've only matched like two derankers.

Derankers or no, if you are any decent you should get to the 40-50 skill range.

True, but the gameplay differences between the two are still pretty drastic. I'd play H3 social over Reach any day.

Nevertheless, he asked if there are any playlists good for playing. Social playlists are, and so are Ranked playlists if you just get to a certain skill range.
