Not to sound rude, but why do people still play Halo PC? I'm just curious.

But do you have an XBox at least? And have any new maps been released since Halo PC came out? I used to have it, but then I got an XBox.

Halo CE, plus all the custom maps people have done.

Actually I stick with the demo-
Why? because it downloads and installs in less than 3 minutes, and you don't need a CD, and it's dang stable.

Nope no Xbox. Don't have the resources to put into one and have itself pay off itself sufficiently.

I own an Xbox and the Halo PC game. We play the PC online because it's easier, for a number of reason. It's a lot easier because with Xbox Live, you have to go out and buy it, then you have to actually hook it up. And after that, you have to keep paying for you to be able to keep your Xbox Live subscription. On the PC, it's all free. The only thing you have to pay for is the game disc, which is only a one time fee. And it only costs about $20.

All of the above + fuel rod + flame thrower + rocket hog + keyboard/mouse combo.

Playing an FPS with a controller is like playing a racegame with the arrow keys... sure, it works, but no more than that.

And last but not least, I don't want to buy a console.

I don't agree with that Ice.

The controller is much easier to use for the Xbox than playing with the mouse and keyboard.

Listen to Ice. Controller can't even compare with keyboard and mouse. Takes a little gettin used to, but is far superior.

Unless your trying to aim at a good sniper. But I guess thats why the xbox has auto-aim. You should try a gaming mouse.

Keyboard/Mouse beats controller anytime in FPS games.

You can react faster and more accurate, you can turn around faster, you can switch directions more easily. The only reason it kinda works on the XBox is because it has auto-aim...

Controller = 80% your control and 20% aim assist from the game
Controller = (default) Right thumb controls your aim at a set speed AND also controls jump, melee, switch guns, reload. Hard to jump/snipe or look/melee (Halo 2 has lock on melees because of this)Your thumb controls your aim and you have to relinquish your aim to push A, B, Y and X.

Keyboard and mouse = 100% control of where you aim
Keyboard and mouse = Entire right hand independently controls your aim at any speed. Left hand controls jump, melee, movement, crouch, reload, switch guns, etc. Much easier to jump/snipe or look/melee because your entire right hand is always controlling your aim.
