"The measure of a man is what he does with power"-Plato

That's what Jorge says in the fire fight voice menu on Halo: Reach.

But Jorge has the identical armour to the rest of Noble team.

He has Mark V, like the rest of Noble Team.

So what's he on about?

He has Mark IV, modified for use with a shield generator. Albeit a bulkier prototype version. Hence the big chest tank.

That's what Mark V is. Mark IV with shields. And his chest attachment is the Collar/Grenadier attachment.

You can clearly see that Jorges armor is not identical to the rest of Noble team.

Jorge is using the Mark IV with the prototype shield upgrades.

I thought the thing on his chest was a biofoam canister (the stuff they put on Romeo when he's hurt in ODST), and that the shield generators were always located in the back.

Marine Sanders
Major 1st Division U.S.M.C.

You cannot exaggerate about the Marines. They are convinced to the point of arrogance, that they are the most ferocious fighters on earth- and the amusing thing about it is that they are.

Hence the fact that it is a prototype.

I like how he asks for answers, and then argues . . .

So Noble Team were the first SPARTANS to use MJOLNIR armor with shielding? Awesome...

no. just. no. they -blam!- up halo reach and gave spartan III's the wrong armor.

The SPARTAN-IIIs originally used cheaper Semi-Powered Infiltration (SPI) armor that had a type of active-camouflage, but no shielding. If Jorge really does have Mark IV armor with a shield generator, that doesn't necessarily make it Mark V. Mark V had other enhancements as well (power pack being half the size, etc...).

They had this armor on July 25, 2552. What SPARTAN-II had it before then? The Master Chief didn't get his until August 29. Then again, it's not like the book and the game are anywhere near compatible.

Why would the UNSC give their top Spartan-IIIs the crappy SPI armor when they have Mark.V available? In case you haven't noticed, Noble Team aren't your average Spartan-IIIs.

Actually, Noble Team had it since November 24th of 2551.

And even if Noble Team got it first, who cares. John didn't get his because he was out in the field and had to prep him for his integration with Cortana. I doubt no S-II got Mk.V liek Noble did.

Didn't the spartan 2's get it 2551 as well in the revision?

I haven't actually read the new versions of The Fall of Reach to be honest, although, I do not see a reason not to give them the same date of shipment, John would be an exception (along with the rest of Blue Team) because they were in active duty when they began to give the new armor.
