guys, looks at the newest screen shot and ask urself "wow this games looks amazing, can the xbox really handle it?" if u ask me, the answer is no... hear me out

ms has some earth shattering announements for e3 and we know that their focus ever since getting destroyed in the console race 3 years ago has been to show sony who's boss by releaseing the next xbox first. what better then to shock the world at the 2004 E3 (a whole year before any of the new consoles are supposed to come out) with the announcement that your releasing your next console in 6 months, a year or more before anyone else! and what better then to launch your new system with the sequel to the game that gave the xbox life at al... HALO 2!!!

boys and girls, look at that screen shot, its better looking then any console or PC game available, do you think that our beloved xbox can handle the sheer girth of all the new features going into HALO 2, and even if it could, would it even have a chance of running smoothly?! ---------------->there are a list of other reasons why i might be right so challenge MY prediction if u dare.<-------------------

XBOX 2, or Xenon, is being released a year earlier than PS3. It will be ready by Holiday season 2005. ;D

Yes, it can handle it. Doom3, Starcraft: Ghost and many other games are looking almost as good. Each generation of games on a console gets more out of the system then the one before.

Look at the first Playstation games and the one's they were making just before the PS2 came out and you'll see the marked difference.

Have you seen the graphics in that new Riddick game? The graphics in that aren't much different than Halo 2 graphics, the Xbox can handle it.

dude how the heck could they make Halo 2 for the next xbox console? I mean they're testing the game right now on the original xbox consoles...so how could they make it for xbox next? Read the updates for Halo 2 and tell me if Bungie screwed us over or not.

Easy, easy.
Of course xbox can handle Halo 2. I believe the calibur of games coming out is going to begin to set xbox away from PS2. I'm very confident Halo 2 will be one of the first games to exploit the full power xbox has.
Why in the world would Microsoft resease another system, only a few years after xbox anyways?? I mean, you can bet people wouldn't be very happy to have to buy a completely new system, just to run new Microsoft games.

I think youre a ps2 or gc fanboys and cant handel Halo2. You cant handel the graphics or the gameplay. Once you seen the Halo2 e3 vedio you cryed becuase you didnt have a xbox. And just think that wasnt even the best of it. They take things much farther

G4, the video game channel, stated that fact that I had posted above, as FACT. XBOX 2, also called Xenon, will be ready for 2005 Holiday season. Pulse, the show that stated it, also stated that Microsoft is doing this to get the heads up that Sony had last time. ;D Hooray for XBOX! We're gonna beat some Sony butt!

Who said this?

And just because you see the controller S doesn't mean it's the Xbox from now; have you ever really seen the Xbox with the TV on the webcam, for example?

that's not gonna happen, Bungie would have to re-code the whole game for Xbox 2, which would wast millions.

I just have to say it. Derek, you're a moron. Bungie said that Halo 2 WILL launch on Xbox and it WILL. Bungie would lose all of their fans if it released on Xbox 2. You would have to buy another system for the game that you've already pre-oredered on Xbox. This theory is retarded.

Impossible. The Xbox2 SDK was only released a couple months ago.

Secondly, bungie's shown us their gazillion Xboxes they've hooked up for testing.
