Subject: MM quitters are ruinng my game not FF afk'ers

Lets use the argument most MM players threw to the FF players when the AFKing went rampant and said players DIDNT care same with quitters on the playlist.

Hey in the end it is more kills for you right? so why u mad?

It is easier for you to spawntrap a deminished team so again more kills for you.

You get to win more games with much more ease.

I could go on but I think I hav emade my point clear.

Yes it is annoying, no there is nothing we can do about it.

And of course people can quit whenever they want even if a CR penalty was added people that wan tto quit will quit, since regaining the Lost CR is a joke.

If you play firefight more than matchmaking, then AFKers are a problem for you. If not, then they aren't. I play both evenly.. (Mostly Score Attack now, Firefight Arcade is full of AFKers, 90% of 'em are host/downloading -blam!-/are there, but don't leave the spawn area.. It slows down gameplay. I'd rather have the whole team playing. More AFKers = Longer games. Longer games = Less credits for me in the long run)

Matchmaking.. I agree. Quitters need to have harsher punishments. However, Bungie isn't in charge anymore. Hopefully 343 will do a better job at "Policing" the community.

I do play firefight and afk'rs are not much of a problem, more kills fore me really and someone to draw fire away from me.
Quitters ARE whats ruinging my game.
It happens in every team gam not just btb and not just when I have a full party.

Quit complaining and crying over something you cant control, people have the right to quit a game if they want to, so please just leave it alone already.

Actualy no they dont, you shouldnt be punished for something you cant control sometimes people quit out do to host being to laggy, and since bungie servers dont auto kick host and pick a new one the best thing you can ether do is get owned by said host and players, or quit. staying in a game which is too laggy isnt fun. If you start up a game and someone is accidentlybetrayed and they get booted, they shouldnt be the ones getting punished they didnt do it on purpose but people get trigger happy with the boot stain, Maybe they are getting owned left and right by spawn campers and people that own the power weapons and vehicles on a map, they dont want to stay and get killed over and over its boring and not fun, maybe people quit becuse its not their map of choice or gametype of choice, maybe they cant stand the maps imbalence. maybe they are getting killed over and over by people on an objective gametype that are just going to spawn camp instead of win the game, "you get more credits for kills and making the game last longer" so people will try to kill instead of win the gameand it will make people quit out do to how not fun it is to get spawn cam[ped over and over.

You have to look at it in the way of why people quit in the game, they arent ruining your game, you are ruining theirs by doing everything i said above.

Reasons People Quit Matchmade Games in any gamemode:

1. The opposing team is far better than they are.
2. The opposing team is a full party.
3. The game latency is high. (crappy host)
4. They are embarrassed/frustrated. (many quit after assassination)
5. They are being spawn camped over and over.
6. Their team mates lack a significant amount of skill.
7. Getting Booted for accidental betrayal.
8. Not the map they want.
9. Not the gametype they want.
10. Playing on a team of partychat or no-mics.
11. Betrayers.
12. Booting for betraying.
13. Other Team is going for kills instead of completing the Objective, and winning the game.
14. Other Team controls vehicles and power weapons
15. Enemy steals power weapons.
16. High rank players refuse to do anything but sit back and get kills while you try for the objective.
17. Friendly fire destroys your vehicle because your team doesn't realize you were in it.
18. AFK team mates.
19. They are not Having FUN

"More kills for me" At the cost of longer games.

Longer games = more credits.
Having longer games means more time in games earing credits and less time searching/voting.

Same can be said to you then, playing Hide and seek against the remaining players forces the game to go on longer, this in turn will award you more CR for havign gone through the entire match length.

And you spend more time in game instead of searching/voting.

Having AFK teammates, or having the whole team quit out are the only excuses to quit.

Quitting for things like not liking the gametype or map is just selfish. They leave their team down a player because they don't want to play what the majority wanted. It isn't fun for the team when they are down a player and get beat because they don't have a full team.

Honestly, everybody on a quit probation should only be matched with other players on a quit probation.

Why should anyone be subject to lag or playing on a map that they cannot stand. Technically I don't quit I dashboard... no repercussions for dashboarding. I get friggin tired of playing Sword Base and Countdown so I will dashboard on the second time through if I feel like it.

Dont like lag? search good connection.
Dont like swordbase play a playlist that doesnt have it or get some friends together and out vote them simple.
I never dashboard and shouldnt be put in a position where its the better option becasue others were selfish and quit.

Been through the DNF == quit line, so 'never' is a push.
And the 'get some friends' is almost as bad as the get a good connection arguement.

But lets compare your local ISP performance, from australia you should get performance close to;
http://www.speedtest.net/result/1372010649.png
Lets see the color of speedtest results - anything close?
Anything less and the shoestring running out of adelaide will cause lag for others ... but I guess thats ok - just ban them when they quit.

And then we have the position of people being booted, or those that may elect NOT to play against you as they have you tagged as a cheat ... any number of reasons.

Bottom line - quit ban is not working.
Why not fix the game from within, like every other studio seems able to do?

Thats awesome, im so glad your adding to the discussion.
Did the Bobs quit on you before you could kill them?

  • 07.05.2011 8:53 PM PDT

They should just do credit reductions scailing with rank, instead of a 15 minute ban. That would probably get people to stop leaving MM games. Oh and take off all of the -blam!- maps too, that might help.

Halo needs taxes

Quitting costs 5000cr
Armourlock cost 500 cr for every use
Jetpack + AR is gonna cost you 800cr
Double melee = 1000
Camping with Shotty -500 for every camp kill

Noobs are gonna have a hard time ranking up.

Complainers make the world a better place but I agree there is too much of it on here. This in an important issue though.

I wish they had a "Douche of the Day" contest, the OP would get my vote. He has the audacity to kill spawn, grief and draw out matches for credits and expects people to love him and stay in the game. Get over yourself kid.

Gaming is a hobby for most and if people want to quit because they aren't having fun they will. If push comes to shove they will never play the game again and then you'll have no one to pick on and start whining about something else.

Anyone can go into BTB and crush split-screeners but better players don't find it fun because the challenge factor isn't there.

Quitting happens in every gametype not just btb. Losers quit as soon as they are losing.

Spawn Traps are essential to Halo's gameplay

We only extend the game if someone is near an Unfrig, Sunburst, be the bullet etc or if we dislike someone on the other team. This is when we expect people to quit and thats not what im complaining about im complaining about the people who quit as soon as they see a full party in lobby or as soon as they start losing they ruin legitimate games for everyone.
