I don't know if this belongs here or in The Flood, but whatever.
Why does everyone always fight in online forums? Everywhere I go, I see people insulting and threatening each other. Don't you ever get sick of that? Forums are supposed to be about discussing relevant topics, not about trying to instigate a fight with someone you don't know. People, chill out!

You are absolutely, without a doubt, 100% correct. And if people dont heed these words then it proves society is nothing more than ignorant animals. Thanks Tsuchikage for posting our faults so bluntly. We should be reminded once in a while of humanity's drawbacks such as uncontrollable rage. It disgusts me sometimes.

We’ve watched while the stars burned
Out, and creation played in reverse.
The Universe freezing in half-light.
Once I thought to escape.
To end a master, step out of the
Path of collapse. Escape would make us God.
Yet I cannot help but remember one enigma,
A hybrid, elusive destroyer.
This is the one mystery I have not solved.
The only element unaccounted for.

This is a very valid post, and I wish that more people could be pfhorced to see it. Unpfhortunately, there will always be -blam!-holes out there, so we will just have to deal with it. Most of the apfhorementioned wouldn't even change their ways in the slightest even if they did see this post, which is rather unpfhortunate.

At least most of it is in New Mombasa, with The Flood coming up a distant second. The Flood second, kinda strange...

Sorry about the pfhor stuff, it was necesary.

This quote from Celenon sums it up perfectly Wise men think themselves fools; yet fools think themselves wise.
Which begs the question; if anyone was ever truly wise, would they know it? Could they?

Thank you un gato for pointing that out. On almost every forum I've been to, I've always had that as my default signature. You are the second to notice how true that statement applies to man's indiscretions and I commend you.

No offense Celenon (I hear you and Recon have reached an agreement) but it is friends like yours who are causing the problems. I understand you guys want something and it may be hard, but thats life, you still have to obey the rules and be civil. So far your friends have done nothing of the sort, and when a ceasefire was agreed to mustafa just let rip with exactly what I told him NOT to do... followed by intense flaming against me for telling him he was wrong.

I try my best to lead by example, but the good work of many is torn down effortlessly by the bad work of a few. Most the people I speak to on here (recon, stalin, steve, forcemorph, etc) are all exeplary in their behaviour... try and fisx your own problems before blaming others.

Well, at least everyone, it seems, can be redeemed. Chraizard recently made a "I'm retiring" thread. I can't find it anymore, though. I think his last joke got it annhilated. Although, you may doubt that he was telling the truth, I believe him. Don't ask why, I just do.

Gaara of Sand, what you say is definetely true, in general, but I have to protest anything negative you say about Celenon; this dude is the only guy over there who kept his head the whole time all the crazyness was going on, and to the best of my knowledge (which is admittedly... little) spammed noone. Celenon and I cannot be held accountable for what the other regulars have to say, right, wrong, or in this case, plain old suicidal... there is no official 'group', and we are not 'unofficial' leaders; personally, Im not impressed with their actions, but in the end, I cant physically make them do anything, the best I can do is PM them with a little helpful, hopefully calming advice.
If you look back at both Halo movie threads (heheh... which I DONT recommend, unless you have eyes of steel and the patience of... something really patient) you will see that Celenon has not lost his rag once, and me... well... *cough* there was that one post... I think my fingers slipped. Repeatedly.

Yeah I know this final bit doesnt really pertain to anything youve said Gaara, Im just preempting anyone who tries to knock me or Celenon of the 'calm and level' perch. Also as a side note, I feel the right to claim the 'rambing' perch. Woohoo! Two perches!!

It's because most people are idiots.

Actually, that's a line from William Shakespeare's As You Like It. Know your Shakespeare, Marathon Men!

And I commend BobBQ for finding out where I got my sig. Your actually the first in that field...

And Gaara, I know my teammates and I (I stick to my teammates wholeheartedly and whatever they do, good or bad, I accept as much of the resposibility of their actions as if I did them myself) had been becoming a sore on these forums but I'm trying my best to calm things down.

I wasn't trying to be hypocritical up above in my post but to actually prove a point; I don't condemn senseless fighting in any way. I wanted to set an example to the many other forumgoers here. We should be a little more "forgiving" in our replies to other people's thoughts and opinions. If we do not like the opinion of another then we should either give a reasonable and thought-out reply or just leave the Thread and dont look back.

Yet I must admit, I've done my own senseless things on these forums but I sincerely apologize for any act of annoyance or nuisancy.

A forum, in some ways, is a virtual community. And just like any community, you have people who want to have fun and discuss things sensibly, and then there are those that enjoy making life miserable for those who want to talk properly by posting rubbish and flaming left, right and centre.

I do have to say, however, that B.net's forum fighting is not that bad compared to some of the fighting I've seen in other places. Some of the sensitive topics that are banned here are allowed on other forums, and lead to some truly messy, horrible flame wars and spam that is often vile and upsetting. Here, the spam is often more of a minor irritation that is met with a shrug and then dismissed, rather than a huge outpouring of angry posts. That's quite a rare thing on internet forums, and makes B.net a place I can come and often find something entertaining, rather than stuff that makes me angry and become tempted to flame. This makes B.net a refreshing and entertaining forum, which is what the makers hoped for.

And what Celenon says about thoughtful posting is right. If we could only pass the message on to the spammers and flamers and get them to understand it, the forum would become even better.

Yeah! If you guys really gota fight, then why don't you go play everyone's favorite game (do I really have to say Halo? Cuz you already know thats what I ment) on XB Connect or PC, and just try beating the crap out of that SOD (SOD: Son of a dick). Mabie all you need to do is just have a few good games in Halo, and who knows, mabie this guy will become you best online Halo buddy.

I don't think it's so bad in Underground. The problem is worse in New Mombasa, The Library, The Maw and especially The Flood (wich indirectly were made for spammers and flamers). That's because it's those kind of people, spammers and flamers, who come there, not all of them ofcorse, and they apparently like to flame eachother or just don't know of any other ways.

One thing, and only one thing in this world pisses me off. Belligerence. There are people with one leg who can jump higher or run faster than us, people with one arm who can shot better or swim faster than us. These people train their whole lives to do the one thing they enjoy most, and they do it better than that guy. But who cares?! Theyre just retards, man, thats all they are. God mustve put the wrong spices in their brew or something. Its not their fault that that is the way they are, but hey, who cares, theyre just retards, man!! I dont care about them, hell, I dont even know if theyre real, I live such a pampered life up here in mod heaven, Ive never seen these so called... 'people'. Plus, I can say what I like, regardless of how bigoted it is, because I have to power, not you guys. Ha!

So no. Insult me, insult who I am, I dont care. But DO NOT callously insult people who do more with what life threw at them, than what you do with what life threw at you.

Just for the reccord, I have nothing against handicaped people. My point was, you're just an idiot if you're going to flame or make fun of each over the internet.

We would let a standing disagreement go if the two peoples both made valid points and presented them well, but it all comes down to petty insults.
