Where Did All The New Guys Come From?

Ever played that one game named "Doom"?

Yes, that's how they got here.

I always figured that they came from Montana, until I remembered that there's no one in Montana. Maybe it's a conspiracy.

I think that people are naturally attracted to Shiny, New sites. Also, sites tend to have an increase in members as time treads on.

Of course, then there's guys (and gals) like you and I who've been here a LONG time. My Bnet anniversary was just this last friday!

Yes, all of these new memberz are a result of this nasty infection from the flood. They're oozing from the festering depths of this place we call EARTH.

Thank you... and goodbye!

Yo Halo53, I'm real happy for you and I'ma let you finish, but Beyonce had one of the best bungie.net profiles of all time. OF ALL TIME!

my 2 year bnet anniversary is before Halo 2. Also my chapters 2 year is 3 days after Halo 2's launch but 3 days before XBL's 2 year anniversary. Exactly in the middle. Coincidence? I think not.

We’ve watched while the stars burned
Out, and creation played in reverse.
The Universe freezing in half-light.
Once I thought to escape.
To end a master, step out of the
Path of collapse. Escape would make us God.
Yet I cannot help but remember one enigma,
A hybrid, elusive destroyer.
This is the one mystery I have not solved.
The only element unaccounted for.

Montana, Doom, what's the difference?

I'm kidding, I'm kidding, don't start flaming.

I'm one of the new guys, definitely. I followed the forums since a bit after the new hotness came around, because I didn't find them until then. I didn't join for awhile because for some reason I thought I would have to pay. I even already had an MSN account, which I could have used.

It's my expert opinion that all of the new members are birds, or at least some sort of creature akin to one.

Yes, it's quite likely that they are some of those primitive mammalians called Humans. They seem to show a great intrest in shiny objects. Particularly one called 'gold'.

O, it's not often anyone gets to correct Barron. What is akin? I suppose you meant talkin, lol?

No, he meant akin.

-- Steve's achin' to use "akin" in a pun. Somehow. Hmm....

Akin: adjective

1. One of kin; related through a common ancestor.

2. Having similar qualities; similar.

I think you'd want the second definition there. And Banshee does make mistakes on occasion, as I have noticed in some of his posts. But there was no mistake there as far as I could see.

Blast, Steve beat me to the gun.

Yesterday I spelled Olympics wrong, and awhile back I forget to check one of my posts when it had a MAJOR grammatical error in it. Every once in awhile I'll forget to read through my post and let something like that slip. Most of the time it's when I'm in a hurry and am about to go somewhere.

That's ok. Everyone's entitled to a 10% mistake/stupidity rate. I'm pretty sure I come close to the line...

I think that the main reason is that the new hotness made everything easier to navigate. I followed Halo and was on the site for a while before the new hotness and only found out that there were forums afterward.

Hah, but Barron hasn't said as much as you have. Especially in some threads where you've used the N word a lot, lol.

It goes the other way too. When new guys came old people started to fade...

Even though I'm still relatively new compared to people like Rip-Saw, Banshee Baron, and Halo 53, I still remember when KIA Grunt, newnab, and just another fan used to frequent the forums. I haven't seen them in ages...

Are we sure that a comet isn't overhead? Maybe the huge influx of people asking about bees and looking for information on a Halo movie is due to the beginning of a dark period. Who knows, maybe The Deciever will march over the next hill with his army of zombies chanting "im da best sniper in da wurld!" and "OMG WTF HALO RULZ ALL way better then marathon!!!"

I am new, (although I have been playing Bungie games for a while now) but even I tire of walking into The Underground, and upon reading the posts, becoming confused as to whether I am in New Mombassa or The Flood.
