It is the soldier, not the reporter, who has given us freedom of the press. It is the soldier, not the poet, who has given us freedom of speech. It is the soldier, not the campus organizer, who has given us the freedom to demonstrate. It is the soldier, not the lawyer, who has given us the right to a fair trial. And it is the soldier who salutes the flag, who serves the flag, whose coffin is draped in the flag that allows the protester to burn the flag.Father Dennis Edward O'Brien, USMC

Maybe you had accounts that were not active and they were deleted by the automated system that takes care of dead accounts.

When the member count drops and the history viewer doesnt record it, then that is most likly what has happend.

It looks like someone managed to make the system decrement your member counter an extra time. The net impact of this is... well... nothing. The system recounts every groups' membership count on a regular basis, so even if the number is off, it will fix it eventually.

As the number of members in a group doesn't really mean anything, the issue is a minor annoyance, and hopefully we'll get it fixed in a future release.

*sigh* Achronos, you've been talking about a "future release" for friggin' ever. Oh well, the forums are good enough now and I guess I shouldn't be too impatient.

Not all new releases of B.net happen to be as big a change as the New hotness.

No, but a search feature will sure be nice. I'm sure the karma system will too.

Notice the "Posted" date. This appeared in the "Top Thread" sidebar on every page it is displayed in all of my groups.
Just a heads up in case anyone hasn't noticed this.

You do realize I'm not talking about the same "future" release each time, right? I'm merely saying it is on the list of things to do, it will get rolled into a future site update, of which there are multiple ones scheduled.

As achronos realizes that every time he talked about updates, people thought he was talking about the same one....
Time to spend some time with the Webmaster for stress relief.

I work at Microsoft. I have nothing to do with Halo and nothing I say is "the official word".

This has probably been pointed out before also... but the "most popular thread" UI never shows the correct date that the thread was created.

It always says:

I seriously doubt spending time with the Webmaster would relieve stress. Quite the opposite, I would think.

Not everybody knows how to program computers. Which is weird. Some people think a "future release" is like something their going to get in the mail from NetFlix. They have no idea that the code can be changed without them even really noticing. And what powerful things it could do.

Hopefully, this isn't too political for an open forum, but I honestly think that grade schools should be teaching computer programming to all the kids. In the future dealing with people who don't know how to program will be as annoying as dealing with people who don't know how to read is today. In fact, it's already kind of annoying.

Being one of the few who understand part of what has to go on, it always bugs me when people make assumptions that Bungie is stupid, and ask things like "why can't they just boot people out of the match automatically whenever they delevel?". Or "if people start betraying for no reason the game should detect it".

The only love the Webmaster can show is Jungle Love.

And it usually drives me mad and makes me crazy.......

UGH i know man, its soooo annoying. Like you visit Zanzibar and all they talk about is that.

Don't they know how hard it is...? I'd like to see them try to fix it on their own...

This is nothing compared to the bug that creates spaces in links when you edit a post.
