If it's a remake in HD. Then I would hope for a remake in HD. Nothing more, nothing less.
With a game like Halo, if you add or take away even the little things, it changes the game experience for many people.
Edit- 4-Player Co-Op would be a win-win.
So you would seriously want to have floaty controls again? Even if one of the main critisms on Halo CE was its floaty vehicles for instance, which has been fixed perfectly, you want them to stay incredibly inaccurate once again? And thats just one thing.
I mean, you also want to have physics with dead bodies that will become glued to the ground etc? Same AI, which is very outdated?
You're entitled to your opinion of course, but not fixing those things will end up with a game that is absolutely unacceptable in terms of controls, AI and physics alone these days.
Obviously any update in terms of AI, physics and graphical features are welcome.
But adding things like destructible vehicles and hijacking changes the game immensely.
I'm talking about things such as assault rifle clip size, pistol 3SK, grenade timing damage and radius. Etc.
By adding new features such as destructible vehicles etc, you would have to account for other factors that would result in it such as weapon damage towards vehicles etc.
Do we want another sniper rifle that can kill a banshee in 4 shots?
Do we want to hijack the banshee on the level Halo and skip the entire journey?
And so on.
By making these small changes, it does reflect on the overall game.
I'm not saying keep everything exactly the same, but i'm saying keep what made the core of Halo:CE, Halo:CE.
Boarding Banshees could be made impossible...Boarding Wraiths could be "attack" only for instance. Ghost boarding: nothing wrong with that.
Indestructable vehicles is just stupid, sorry. Making them destructable would only bring back some new challenges to the game we already know through and through. Warthog Run would be so many times more tricky and menacing, instead of being a "oh I've played this a 100x already, so I can drive without looking where I'm going so I can check out these awesome new textures on the walls" experience.
Blast radius of grenades, firepower of weapons: nothing wrong with how they are. Auto aim could be a lot less though, seriously: campaign has some very noticable auto aiming from time to time.
Decreasing AR clipsize has another effect: it makes you use other weapons a bit more often. Last time I played CE, I never got rid of my AR because it basically is a bottomless pit in terms of ammo...
