Many will enter, only one will rise to the top and he might not even win....

After ten years, something other than Halo is going to be Bungie's main focus! I can't wait.

Oh yeah, since somebody does not believe what YOU believe; that makes us vapid...
I cannot grasp that what you call "Something happened to nothing, and that nothing became something, and it was smaller than than a period."

I don't wanna leave halo in the dust!

IMO, no one takes care of their community like you do Bungie, and I thank you for that. Even though Halo will be out of your hands soon, you are not going anywhere and neither are we. I look forward to news on your new IP.

  • 06.04.2011 7:48 AM PDT

Why are you guys doing this, xbox is way better then PS3 and xbox will lose people to play. PS3 has little big planet 1 and 2. So they might as well give it to xbox. But if you guys do this you should make it so you can play PS3 against xbox. So don't do it Bungie.

Punks not Dead.

I want to know about their new IP. I hope it will be kinda like Halo that with shields n stuff or that you will have more HP than in any other shooter since that's why i play halo.

  • 06.04.2011 8:07 AM PDT

Sweet update.

  • 06.04.2011 8:20 AM PDT

So you are basically saying that you are washing your hands of Halo after Bungie day? Thats sad. Also, you are REMOVING AL from TO? Way to cave in to the whiners.

I like to knit sweaters.....and by knit I mean PUNCH....and by sweaters I mean babies.

Macgyver can build an airplane out of gum and paper clips, but Evil One can kill him and take it.

Basically, I think he doesn't like to do the weekly updates. Wish I could stop doing my job when I don't like something. I miss Frankie.....

No more Halo-related updates? That's... disappointing. But if it helps put more focus on your guys' future as a company then by all means, do whatever you need to do.

Thanks for all the hard work you guys have been putting out for the community. We may have not been the most grateful bunch (which is an understatement is some cases, if not most cases), but we do appreciate everything that you've done for us in the long run. I wish you all the best of luck for your future success, Bungie. Just don't forget about us Halo gamers when you guys achieve the next step, 'kay?

Oh, and I left a nice little thank you note for Jeremiah and his team in Optimatch: here. Just because you asked so nicely.

And a big congrats to the recent All Stars winners!

Whilst I am excited to see what is next for Bungie, one thing I would like to point out if the very LACKING information from Bungie regarding Halo. All we have heard from 343 or from Bungie has been about matchmaking updates (bungie). Not much news.

Just saying.

We're not making Halo anymore. We're supporting Reach and the Bungie community. You shouldn't expect to get any news from us about any future Halo titles or content.

Then at least could you throw us a link every now and then to somewhere where new Halo info is being released?

Bungie: READ THIS READ THIS READ THIS!!!!!
You guys really need to read this.
I know for a fact it is not only me complaining about your game; Halo:REACH.
You guys got it so hyped up and made it seem like it was going to be the best thing ever.
And, it wasn't.
First of all, let me explain my problems with the ranking set up.
I will get in games (I have 5 Generals in Halo 3) in Reach and there will be ungodly large ranks in there. But I will always be on top. All your ranking system is/ is a symbol by the gamertag. It represents time played, no skill whatsoever. I remember in 2007-2010 Playing that amazing AMAZING Halo 3 from the time I wake up to the time i go to sleep. When rank was about skill, and if you wanted to have fun and do amazing stuff like committing suicide with a street cone in Social Slayer. Your game is only built for the MLG try-hards and people who TRY and FAIL. I get into games and people BETRAY me for the shotgun, sniper, rockets, etc. It is really sad that you didn't think to use the same rank system as Halo 3.
I get on REACH and play 4 games and I get bored. I check the online status and it is just like Halo 3! no more than about 115,000 people playing on a GOOD DAY. Most of the time I see less than 2,000 people playing Team slayer, Halo 3's playlist are larger. Reach is dying, and you still have time to fix it. BRING THE OLD RANKING SYSTEM BACK.

Second, the Maps.
If you really thing making Map packs and new styles will keep the game alive, your wrong. These maps you have made have no vehicles. NONE. I don't understand what the hell was going through y'all's heads when you designed them. You USED Forge World to make maps and didn't think to put ANY VEHICLES?! I may e over-exaggerative but it is far true. And the fact that it is SO easy to get power weapons is ridiculous.

Next, the "PERKS"
Oh, my god. Do you understand how frustrating it is and how it kills a MatchMaking game when someone decides to have no shields and go into armor lock, and proceed to kill you with a melee? it really pisses me and tens of thousand of other skillful people who enjoy Halo off. Now, the Jetpack was a genius idea, and Sprint was too. But armor lock and cloaking should have stayed as pick up power-ups like in Halo 3. Every day, the grand number of people playing that game is getting smaller, and smaller. I know easily over 40 people who moved to the CoD series because of how much laziness put into the franchise of Reach. Please, Loads of people and I are begging you to help save halo. I would get into the health system but all I have to say about that is just wow. Please save Halo Bungie, or at least reply to me expressing that you have read this. Pass this on to who now is taking Halo. Because if these problems aren't fixed. I'm switching.

I will always Love you Bungie, for an extremely amazing series and game experience.

Halo 3 is Halo 3 and well.... Halo Reach is Halo Reach....
Anyway's your well written cry out for an impossible revolution to virtually move mountains falls upon unsympathetic ears....
The young men and women who reside within the Bungie fortress are far too busy making magic happen, so please, wipe those tears and stamp out your fire because those smoke signals are blowing way off course.

Peace out

All I'am trying to express is they need to fix perks and the ranking system. The game is going to -blam!-.

Away from XBOX LIVE until both Doom 4 and Bungie's new game are released. The Flood will consume you.

Deal!

Why can't we put Bungie Cards here?

Feel kind of sad. It's like the end of an era. Been coming here for almost 4 years now.

  • 06.04.2011 11:38 PM PDT

Premium Slayer and Premium Battle playlists added
These playlists will require both Noble and Defiant DLC, coinciding with this we will be removing the Defiant Map Pack playlist.

Does this mean that i cant play anything with the defiant map pack if i dont have the noble map pack?

Firelizard7

I really want to find out about their next game. If its as revolutionary as halo CE was then we are in for a trip. Its incredible how long Bungie takes to make a game but the results are undeniable.

I don't want to be in your clans so stop messaging me >.<

Has anyone given the new maps getting implemented into matchmaking a spin? Think Twice is getting plenty of attention over at Reaching Perfection (as well it should, congratulations again Godly Perfection), but the map that I am just in love with out of those is JoeSki73's Rebirth. It seems to be a rotationally symmetric version of the pit, and I have to say I'm liking the looks of it. I haven't played a game on it yet, but I'm definitely excited to. I'm kinda "meh" on the other maps as of right now, I'll have to see how they play.

Assault Rifle For The Win

in all honesty i never really took the time to partake in forum discussions, i merely read what i was after, i allways read the weekly updates though, that was what i loved bungie for. but now it seems as if its all just disapearing and this actually makes me quite sad.

halo was quite honestly one of the only, if not the only game i ever truly anticipated. Waiting day by day, hour by hour, for when the next instalment came out. now halo is in new hands and it doesnt quite seem right. im scared the game may turn into some sort of cod franchise were a new edition is brought out every -Blam!- year.

Not giving up on the series and definatly not giving up on bungie, i still truly believe that you have indeed more wonderful goodness up those sleeves, but it pains me to see something as good as halo slip away like this.

I will allways love you bungie. In that strange, Nerd gamer way.
