Chairleg Productions presents: 'Console Wars' and 'Games as Art?' (also on Halo Waypoint).

Try going here: http://www.bungie.net/forums/ and select "View" for the forum you want.

You'll still be able to post etc, but i think it speeds up how fast you see threads up-date (it seems like that way for me at least).

Or

Refresh the link.

If nothing happns, just wait for a bit. It should sort itself out soon.

are you kidding me? its the exact same site and webpage, there's no difference at all. Its all in the mind for you. But if you think it goes faster, kudos to you, cause it doesn't work for me, and it would be awesome if it did.

I could only recommend getting a faster connection...chances are the website won't upgrade to better servers for awhile, if at all.

If nothing seemingly works, operativeace i'd probably suggest waiting until tomorrow (bookmark it now) and then go back. See if it's any better.

Out of interest, is it possible to provide us with a link to this thead so we can see if we experience similar problems?

I figured it would be a large thread. Wanna see the hidden page?

This is a problem that happens when posts get deleted. The reply count (the number shown on the main page of the forum) gets reduced by 1 every time a post is deleted. The problem is, the page the post gets deleted still thinks the post is there. There are supposed to be 25 posts per page in a thread, but deleting a post will cause the thread to go to the next page after the 24th post on the page instead of the 25th. The real kicker is, the system calculates the number of pages by the number shown on the main forum page and not the number of actual pages in the thread.

So, that thread is showing 925 replies. 926 (#replies plus 1 for the original post)/25 = 37.04. Since there can't be a .04 of a page, it means there should be 38 total pages and that is what you can currently get to. Since this thread seems to have had a lot of posts deleted, the number of pages the thread created does not equal the number of pages the system shows.

Basically, you have to change the 38 in the url to a 39 to see the most current replies.

Thank you very much by the way is the system going to fix itself or is it going to be fixed?

I don't think it's something that can fix itself and I don't know if/when it would be fixed; but I am pretty sure I've sent an email off to bnetbugs@microsoft.com, so I'm sure it will be addressed eventually.
